Bought these Burton AK bib pants which I have been keeping an eye on for a while. Burton did not disappoint, these pants are a great technical pant with an added bonus of a a small amount of insulation. Fit is as described.

Got them mid season 2018, mid season 2019 the side zipper broke while I was riding. Sent them in and the zipper got replaced but you can see it's not the same finish as the original. Now mid season 2020 has broken again and honestly for the price, I've gotten a only 6 months in them and that's not what I expected. I hoped the investment would last a couple of years before I had to replace them. Also the shoulder straps don't stay in place and I have to get someone to adjust them at least twice a week.I'm size 12 and 5"4. Got size L to fit my torso but the legs run bit long, therefore the straps are usually on the shortest setting... Sliding down.I'm unsure of what to do now, as it took 2 months to get them back through warranty last year and it's already mid Feb ... MoreGot them mid season 2018, mid season 2019 the side zipper broke while I was riding. Great bib besides the snaps

I got this bib last year and immediately the snaps don't work when I bend over. I know you maybe thinking I got a size too small, but it fits just fine when I'm standing up. I was told a batch of them were having this issue and to warranty them, but then at warranty they said the snaps worked fine. So I jerry rigged some velcro on the sides which is only a temporary fix.

Great bibs
25 March 2022

I purchased the Burton AK 2L Kimmy bibs after having my first bebe. Unfortunately my other pants and bibs from other brands didn't accommodate my newly wider hips. After reading reviews and seeing other people commenting these were the only bibs that seemed to fit hips, knee braces, athletic or curvy builds, I decided to drop the money on a pair. I am 5'9 and 170 and purchased the size XL. According to the size chart the L would fit, but I wanted plenty of room for playing in the snow in addition to snowboarding. These bibs fully fit the bill. The XL is plenty roomy, but the material and cut is very flattering. Instead of looking too big or baggy, it has enough room for hips and then the legs just look like a nice relaxed fit pant. The hand of the fabric is everything you want in a shell. It is crisp but not stiff and it moves really well. They are pricey, but are fully worth it in my mind. I tend to be of the camp where I spend a bit more money once for the right piece and have it last for years instead of buying ok pieces you have to replace annually.

Knee Brace
1 December 2020

I blew out my knee on the mountain 6 years ago and now have to wear an orthopedic brace when skiing. I have been wearing mens ski pants since, trouble getting women's pants over the brace. Finally a pair of pants made for a woman that go comfortably over my knee brace! I am excited to give them a shot in the snow - will update once I have worn them through the season!

Perfect bibs
5 February 2024

My expectations have been completely met with the looks and quality of these bibs. The size guide was true to size, I am able to layer underneath for warmth yet still maintain that nice flexibility with movements. The Gore-Tex has done its job with water resistance in the snow. One of my favorite features is the drawstring on the ankle/calf area on the pants. I am shorter so this prevented my pants from dragging on the ground and out of the way while using my step-on bindings when I snowboard. Definitely worth the investment and I am so happy with my purchase!

SO worth it.
23 January 2020

These pants are so comfy and handy. They have grate pockets up top! I ride in these every day all day teaching school group snowboard lessons. I can kneel in the snow to assist and get up and the snow just falls away. When faced with water the pants wont let you down! beed city yall your not going to get wet in those damp rain/slush situations. 10/10 would buy again.

So far So good
23 January 2020

I'm only reviewing the fit at this point, because I won't actually get to use them for a couple of weeks. I would say they run a little narrow through the hip area. I normally wear a size 8 womens pant. I ordered a M and L in these to try both, and wound up keeping the large. The medium fit but for a bib, I felt like they were a little too fitted in the hips - so when I sat down in them, they were pulling a bit.

The Best Bibs
13 October 2019

I love these bibs. They are the most comfortable ski pants I have ever worn. So comfortable I don't want to take them off. I have a lot of ski pants, mostly bibs from all of the top outerwear companies but these are my favorite.I am actually a skier but have always liked the look and colors of Burton products so I decided to take the plunge and order the Women's Kimmy 2L Bib Pant and Embark Jacket and I was not disappointed. I was actually looking at the Kimmy 3L Bib Pant but thought the cost was a bit too much. I am glad I decided on the Kimmy 2L Bibs. The "Living Lining" in these pants actually provides a little bit of warmth which is great since I live in Ontario where the conditions can be quite cold. I am 5'11 175 and the XL fit perfectly. I can add a mid weight insulator pant on those really cold days and I still have lots of freedom of movement. I sometimes have trouble finding women's bibs that can accommodate my height as the suspenders are sometimes not long enough so I appreciate that Burton thought of us tall girls. I love the high bib which provides the most coverage i have seen in a bib pant. With a total of 6 pockets you will never want for more storage space. Great job Burton!!

Warm and dry all day
21 January 2020

These pants are comfy and will keep you warm and dry all day in all conditions. The multiple vents are helpful on warmer days and they are obviously gore-tex so very waterproof as well. My two issues are they’re too long. I’m 5’5 and yes could have ordered the short, but they only came in black! Also, the snaps under the armpits tend to undo sometimes when I bend to strap in, though the pants fit fine and aren’t too snug. It’s not a huge deal as it’s only sometimes and I just quickly unzip my jacket and re-snap, but maybe snaps aren’t the best clasp option. If I leave them undone the zipper can undo all down my leg. Otherwise, love these bibs!
