Burton AK 2L GORE-TEX Cyclic Jacket is very lightweight and offer all the basic functionalities of a shell jacket. The cut is very stylish offering extra material on the tail and at the sleeves. This is an excellent jacket for the price but it has many other competing products in the same price range offering identical features or more.I really like the zippers and the well thought of pockets throughout the jacket. In my experience, Burton always deliver a high quality craftmanship and uses the right material for the activities. This jacket didn't come with hand gaiters that many other comparable jackets are now offering. This is the only reason why it didn't score a perfect 5 stars to me. Another minor thing would be the ak logo that could be a little bit more ... MoreBurton AK 2L GORE-TEX Cyclic Jacket is very lightweight and offer all the basic functionalities of a shell jacket. Everything else about the jacket is perfect otherwise. This jacket should easily score 4.5 and would be perfect if it has the hand gaiters and a better waist gaiter like Volcom's ziptech.

Everything you would want in a snowboarding jacket. Pit zips, waist gaiter, wrist straps with an inside pocket that is lined, so you can carry electronics. Not to mention the jacket is waterproof and windproof and the hood is large enough for a helmet. Fits a little bug but I think it’s so you can layer up.Overall, very satisfied!

Awesome jacket! But what else can you expect from Burton's ak line? I got the orange as I like bright colors being on the mountain, for high visibility. It's super bright in the sun, and has a neon affect at night. The fit on the jacket is great, just the right amount of baggyness. I am 5'10" and bought a Medium. Also, the jacket is fairly warm for being a shell which is great for layering, as in you don't need too many. I don't like bulk while riding. I would give this jacket 6 stars, if only it had wrist gaiters/skirts! I would highly recommend this jacket if you are considering. It is on the pricey side, but the construction/material quality will last quite a few seasons, and the ak line colorways are the best in the industry (imo).

This jacket is great! It's the perfect shell and really held up in deep powder. This is my first AK jacket (I've owned Burton before) and I'm hooked. I tested it out for 5 continuous days at Whistler and had no negatives. I layered up because it was -14 degrees at the peak but I really love the features and style of this jacket. The white can get a little dirty but it cleaned off well. I would definitely recommend.
Excellent quality. Warm but not too heavy shell jacket with plenty of pockets. I'm 170cm's and weigh 80kg and bought the Medium size. It fits well with plenty of manoeuvrability without being baggy. Sleeve length is ok to suit a wide range of customers arm lengths but having the Velcro on the cuffs locks them off so the sleeve holds. Plenty of room in the hood for my helmet and pull strings to pull the material in tight.
I ordered the Forest Green version and part of what I like about this jacket is the gold trim on the zips....When I received mine I noticed the main zip was fully black and the other 2 zips were gold trim. After getting in contact with Altitude sports I was told that they have both in the warehouse and when I asked what I can do to make sure I receive the one in the photo on my next order I was told they would attach a note to my account but "no promises" ...So I returned the jacket and was told I would not be charged for the return since I did not receive the item that they have shown on the website, but I was still charged the $10 return fee.I'll be purchasing the jacket from a different retailer as this was a pretty disappointing experience with Alti Sports. I have a 2019/2020 Burton ak Helitack jacket and they decided to update the models of their jackets after that season. I purchased the 2022/2023 Cyclic in Jake Blue and it looks great. The updated models have more modern features such as: mesh-lined pit zips, insulated chest pocket for phone, and RFID pass pocket on the left bicep.I'm 5'7" and 150 pounds and got a Medium. It's slightly baggy but I think that's necessary to allow more layers underneath and also to allow for a longer sleeve. My older Helitack was a small and sometimes my wrist would be exposed during movement because the sleeves were slightly too short.
So I will say this jacket is awesome. Love the look, the feel of the inside is all great.Unfortunately I had to return mine because the main zip is black. The other two are still gold like the one shown in the photoIt seems like an error in production but after speaking with someone in Altitude Sports they told me they have both in the warehouse which is strange since both aren’t listed for sale. When I asked how I can ensure I am sent the one shown in the photo I was told they can add a note to my account but “no promises”So unfortunately I’ll have to buy the jacket from a different company as I don’t want to risk getting the one with a black main zip again.
I really enjoyed this jacket. It is a quiver of one for upper body regulation and keeping one dry. Worn on Sunrise Mountain in Arizona, during a bluebird day, in the early morning when it was icy and cold the zippers on the vents were closed and a mid layer was worn. Shortly, however after the start of the day the mid-layer was ditched and the vents were opened. It was worn over Burtons Helium Grid Mid Weight Base layer and was comfortable enough to wear in both hot and cold. One star taken away because when the hood cinch is pulled tight across the top the helmet, it pulls down on the helmet, making looking straight ahead a chore, even with the neck length chords at their longest. Besides this minor drawback, it is a little tight around the midsection for those ... MoreI really enjoyed this jacket. It is a quiver of one for upper body regulation and keeping one dry. Besides this minor drawback, it is a little tight around the midsection for those heftier riders (40 waistline here) but only mildly so. Kept me dry all day with plenty of storage. This is a one jacket that meets all needs.
I love this jacket!! Actually, first I bought the "Swash" model with insulation in the torso. I loved that so much that I bought this model, "Cyclic" for warmer days since it's just a shell. And I loved that so much I bought the "Surgent" for just regular non snowboard life stuff. Burton's AK line is the greatest outerwear I've had in my 41 seasons of snowboarding. The articulation is perfect, at least for my body. The construction of the AK line is super tough, super comfortable and made to handle whatever weather comes it's way. Maybe not the tropics, they'd probably suck in the heat,,, but they do have huge armpit vents, so, maybe. Sure this jacket isn't even sort of cheap, but, if your wondering if this is worth the price,, it totally is. Buy it! And while ... MoreI love this jacket!! And then get the step on set up cause that's a game changer.
