I bought this for my 8 year old son for skiing because his youth balaclava was too restrictive around the eyes. He likes this WAYYYY better! There’s a bit of learning curve with situating it comfortably under goggles, hence the 4 stars, but overall I’m quite happy with it. I also didn’t realize when I ordered it the it’s made of fleece, so it can get hot at times, but it’s very cozy! His head is the size of mine, so it fits him well. I think it would be small for an adult with a large head though.

This was exactly what I wanted it to be. I got it to protect the spots (neck and face) that your helmet and jacket miss, without having to wear a tight balaclava around my neck and face. I'm a woman with a size small helmet and I got the helmet fit to wear over it. The fit is great and can be either a baggier fit around the face or it can be cinched for a snugger, windproof fit. It's fleece and holds heat in really well and although it will get wet, my head stayed dry underneath in heavy wet snowfall.

Love the idea of a hoodie while riding. Really helps, especially on very cold days. However, the material of this hoodie is of very poor quality. I bought the orange one, and despite me washing it several times, it still sheds every time I wear it (and sticks to any non-smooth material, such as helmet strap, any non-goretex layers, etc.). Just the other day it was wet-snowing in the valley but colder in the alpine, and the hoodie froze to my helmet. When I pulled it off, it left a lot of orange fuzz all over my helmet (which came off once it defrosted, but still!). This could be so much better if the material was less shedding and of better quality.
Love my hoods! Third one I've purchased; purchased in black. Fleece hoods have become an essential for cold riding days.
I own several Burke hoods in other colors and I love them! They keep your face and head safe and warm, especially in windy storm weather. I ordered a new one in black just to have another color. Unfortunately, the black burke hood that was shipped is a thinner dryride fabric, and not the thicker dryride *fleece* that my previous hood all are. The photos and description match the older fleece hoods that I have, and not the one that I just ordered. I am not sure if the fabric used has changed or what, but it was not the product of the same quality that I had perviously purchased and expected.
Excited to use this for the next season. The gator I use now is a tighter fit but gets too bulky with my helmet strap and I can't zip my jacket all the way up. This fits perfectly over my helmet and covers the neck, it's very soft and can also be used just as a neck gator. I like various colors to choose from. I got the teal blue green that matches my jacket.
Doubles as a scarf and a hood. Wore it all winter with a sweater and a jacket. Keeps your ears, chin, and neck nice and warm. You can pull up the face covering when the weather is really bad and tighten the drawstrings. Good for single digits below 0, but if it's any colder or if it's windy, you may need to pull the hood of your parka over (which is easy because it's so thin). Much more comfortable then a regular hoodie, especially for glasses wearers, because it's detached so it doesn't pull down on your head and face. It's pretty thin and stretchy (but warm enough), so you can take it on and off easily and wear a cap underneath. Overall, I highly recommend it. I bought one more for myself and one more as a gift.
I had been trying to get this hood for a year and finally I was able to snag one from evo! It definitely lived up to the hype. Looks great over the helmet and is easy to to pull up or down over my mouth even using gloves depending on the temperature. It is so warm and cosy. Certainly worth the money in my opinion.
Siiiiick balaclava from burton. The perfect head piece/beanie to keep u warm while boarding. Could use the face mask, can also not use it, and do a little combo in between for siiick style. Material btw is super soft and comfy with their "dry-quick" or something material as well as limited lifetime warranty from burton! Siick Dawg!
