Bombing the hill or just hanging, the men's Burton Mallet Jacket is street-savvy and mountain-worthy. It's a warm puffy that's low-profile enough to layer under your shell and weather-resistant enough to shed light snow and rain on its own. What more do you need?

I loved the style of the jacket / materials and was excited to wear it however at 5”7 the shoulders were a bit too large and out too far with the Large but a Medium would have been too tight in the waist. It’s meant for a leaner taller body. Hard to tell from the image.

Seriously the best jacket I have ever owned! It’s very warm and light weight. It’s super easy to clean and moosjaw is awesome to deal with and it shipped fast!

Its warm, water beads and rolls off pretty well, and it fits well...BUT Ive had this jacket for a month...the only thing Ive done in it is sit, stand, and walk around campus...and apparently Burton cant be bothered to stitch their products with decent quality thread because I have multiple threads popping up around my shoulders where my backpack rests already...in...a...month. Its a nice backpack too with those cushy shoulder straps and such. 1st burton product Ive owned in 10+ years, and the last for sure.

I am not one to write reviews but this jacket is fantastic. I have been using it as a riding jacket for motorcycling. Its windproof at +80mph but still breaths.
Keeps me super warm and it’s amazing quality. Everything Burton seem to produce is very well made. After buying this I also went back and bought the one with hood too.
The jacket I'll always take to the mountain. Very comfortable and warm. After a hard day riding, slipping into something comfortable is my first pursuit.
Fell in love with this coat online and it was even better when I got it. Fit was perfect, real regular. Not a tailored fit so tight in the shoulders, or too loose and way roomy in midsection, coat is relaxed perfect fit all around. Pocket functionality, design, and quality construction makes it one of my favorites now!
Normally wear an XL, but the fit was so tight in the chest and the waist I had to return it. Tried a XXL and the fit including the sleeve length was perfect. Burton claims the Mallet has a regular or standard fit, but it is a trim fit. Also, i tried the jacket in the hooded version and the sleeve length was about 1 inch longer. Burton phone rep could offer no other explanation than that the hooded Mallet must have been made with a longer sleeve length. Makes no sense. Buyer beware !
Fit is great, sheds water beautifully. Breathes so body temperature stays normalized. An amazing product, highly recommend.
Its just a good, warm jacket with fleece lines pockets. Its definitely my style.
