As someone who rode High Back Step-in's 20+ years ago and quickly went back to regular bindings, the tech has advanced so much it is truly like night and day! These boots are super comfy - cannot tell the difference between the step in boots and my last pair of regular boots. Having the ease of step in with the feel and control you would expect from standard bindings is a must-have for any rider like me on the other side of 40!!!

No more trying to balance awkwardly whilst you strap in - no more sitting down.The photon boa boot is effortless to tighten down - I actually found that i could ride with looser settings than my old boot without any heel lift at all.

I read reviews that said to order a half size larger and that they were stiff.I am a size 8 normally, and I?ve only ever wore burton boots so I already knew my size SHOULD have been an 8, however the reviews I read were right, these run a half size small. My toes are against the tip of the boot even after trying to wear them around the house for about an hour. I?m 5?6, 240lbs, and have larger calves however I still have always been able to wear my true to size 8. It took me well over a minute just to try and wiggle my foot into the boots and it was not a comfortable process. The inner ?soft? boot has Velcro on either side of the tongue to secure the tongue in place, but these just make the boot fit oddly and honestly make a pressure point in the shin area, I couldn?t even Velcro them so it was a waste, terrible design concept with the Velcro, it?s not practical for an every day rider unless u are petite sized.I cannot express the amount of stiffness in this boot, I?ve NEVER worn a boot this stiff, it?s insane. I don?t think I can comfortably ride in these, I?m going to return for a regular burton boa step on boot.Don?t waste your money, get the normal kind of boot without the ankle strap. I honestly thought the ankle strap would make a difference, it doesn?t. Trust Me, I?ve been boarding since I was 10, I?m not 35. I?m super disappointed, I thought it would be a game changer, it?s not. These or super uncomfortable.
They are tight and comfortable! Easy in and out just a change from the normal straps.
Absolutely love my boots, I have a very narrow foot and weak ankles and they're great! Definitely worth sizing up at least half a size.

The step on system is a game changer especially off the lift and straight onto the run. Same Burton fit as other models but constructed stiffer meaning quick response on turns. Build quality is excellent. Very happy purchase.

They were a great boot but the wrong size. I tried to exchange to another size but had to go to a slightly different boot. I wasn't given the same discounts I initially had when I bought then so I was a but disappointed
