Wide fit for my wide feet. 12E in street shoes, the 11 boot is just right. Snug, but not too snug. So far they've been packing out just perfect. They feel lighter than most other boots I've tried which is great for reducing leg fatigue.

Nothing to write home about with these boots. They're Burtons most basic step on boots, with BOA. They have a good amount of flex in them so mobility isn't an issue. They stay nice and warm. They aren't uncomfortable. I wear pretty close to true in size, (I wear 10-10.5 in shoes, 10.5 in these boots) If you can, spring for something with Dual BOA. Single makes parts of the boots feel inconsistently tighter and looser in some areas.

Bought these from a local shop. I have gone through a few pairs of boots and could never find something to agree with my foot. These feel great. My foot is obviously a Burton fit. I really like these. The speed lace system is great. Good enough I don't miss BOAs. The wides fit really well for my feet. The fit is great. The stiffness is definitely middle of the road. And they have worked great for most uses. Comfortable and fairly responsive. To help out, I'm 230lbs and they do pretty well. I could have stepped up to the imperial or photon though with my weight. But my cousin whose 160lbs can place his weight in the toes with no real flex. So I feel for average riders this would realistically be enough boot for nearly anything. Bottom line if you're looking for a ... MoreBought these from a local shop. I have gone through a few pairs of boots and could never find something to agree with my foot. These feel great. Super great boots. Personally I like reletively soft boot, I do park and all mountain, hit (double and even triple) diamond, side hits, natural dorp/jumps, grabing 180/360s on midium jumps. Basically I do every thing. The ruler boots are great, they provide enough response on the slopes and when loose them a little bit they give me tolerance in park. The best thing I like is I just need a step and push a little after getting off the lift before start riding.
I returned these before using because they weren't quite wide enough for my sasquatch feet. Overall build and quality seems great, they were generally comfortable overall (aside from width of the forefoot), and the best price point for a quality wide boot offering. The lacing system wasn't intuitive at first, but seems like it should work well once you get the hang of it. Would have kept them if they fit, but they didn't so they went back.
I've been snowboarding for 21 years and have very wide feet. I've been dealing with cramped, narrow boots for all of those 21 years. I finally pulled the trigger on a wide pair and it's life changing. These boots are comfortable, fit in my normal sized bindings, and are the perfect mix of sturdy and flexible. Well worth the money
I was skeptical about this at first but after trying them, I love them. They are so much quicker than strapping in normal boots and bindings. I can just click in and go. They are definitely stiff enough to have total control and have no play in them, they are completely secure.
TL;DR People with freakishly wide feet like me need these. Don't bother with any other "wide" boot. I've had Salomon's Dialogue/Synapse Wides. Vans, Ride Anthem/Lasso, 32s, none of those are close to the width of Burton Wide RulersI've tried every single "wide" boot out there. My feet (at the widest places) are 5.1 inches wide. These boots made me physically jump into the air. in 9 years of snowboarding (im 18). I've never had a good fitting boot. I always went up from 10.5 to 11 or 11.5. I bought these 10.5 and they showed me what it's like to have normal feet. I have never been able to walk in boots without my feet shifting around. The lacing is amazing, Boas are nice, but these are dead secure and slick to wear. If you have the struggle of wide feet, you've never felt comfy boots. These boots are comfy.
I ordered the Burton Ruler BOA in regular width (size 7) and the Burton Ruler (non BOA) in wide (Size 7) and the two boots are exactly the same width!! They are also not very wide to begin with, pretty average width for mens boots, probably a C or between a C and D width. Compared to Women's boots, Ride and K2 boots are the same width if not wider, and Burton men's boots are definitely wider than Burton women's boots. Maybe the width is wider for larger sizes but for size 7, the fit is identical! The instep seemed fine and I have slightly higher than average instep as well, though I didn't try the boots on for too long. The speed lace system also can never get the shin/calf tightness as tight and secure as the BOAs so I would definitely recommend the BOAs over the ... MoreI ordered the Burton Ruler BOA in regular width (size 7) and the Burton Ruler (non BOA) in wide (Size 7) and the two boots are exactly the same width!! Evo rates the stiffness as a 6 and I would say they are similar or softer than the Ride Hera which they rate as a 5. Then again they rated the K2 kinsley as a 3 and I would say those are also a 5. The Burton Ruler I would rate as medium stiff or slightly softer than medium stiffness. Perhaps a 4.
Overall an awesome boot. My feet no longer go numb from the old narrow boots. My old burtons were 10yrs old and looked brand new. These boots look on par with that quality and hope they last just as long. Only negatives i cam think of is the pads on the inner boot that hug your achilles seem to be hard as a rock on my right foot and dig a little. Seems to be getting better as they break in, so it could be i have a weird right ankle. The last negative i can think of is the lacing system is super hard to loosen up. The toe laces are fine, its the ankle/shin laces. Let me stress those are the only negatives and are in no way a reason i wouldnt buy these again in a heartbeat.
