Juicy leather. Atmospheric, cozy, sweet yet delicate. Great longevity, soft to moderate projection. One of my all-time favourites. Smells expensive and works especially well during colder months. Unisex too, this smells gorgeous on my boyfriends as well and he really enjoys wearing it. Only need a few sprays and the scent will fill a room. Simply divine!

I imagine this perfume will change wildly with the seasons or depending on your skin chemistry. If you are looking for a safe, functional, every day perfume then you definitely need to test this first. It's not your typical power-house workday perfume, but could make for a striking signature if you can pull it off! I usually think of perfumes such as these as more artistic concepts, like unusually cut clothes and bizarre jewellery that look breath-taking, but you're not sure if you personally can wear it!It doesn't smell like a library (while we can enjoy the smell of old books and wood varnish, it's probably not what we want to smell on ourselves or other humans), but it does conjure up the aesthetic of a well-read, scholarly woman who wears romantic blouses and pleated trousers, keeps her hair styled in an artfully messy up-do, carelessly applies flawless red lipstick... She probably smokes as well. But this is my impression, and as this strikes me as such a changeable fragrance, I would be fascinated as to how it develops on other women and men!Definitely not a safe blind buy, but in this case my gamble paid off! The dry down on me is subtle, but casually powerful. After three spritzes (both wrists and neck) yesterday morning, I was still cocooned in sultry softness when I woke up today.

Let me start with I really enjoy this scent. But, this does not smell like a library to me and as a massive bibliophile who takes great pleasure wandering old book stores and libraries, the lack of biblio sweet vanilla was disappointing. There are two perfumes by Commodity called Paper and Books which are closer to the real thing, yet still both those are still not quite there for me (highly recommend though). For me, this perfume leans to more warm Plum on my skin. The longevity is not what I would expect from a perfume of this price so I’m unlikely to repurchase, but I enjoy it very much.
