C4 Energy Shot - 60ml x 12 pack. The energy shots arrive in the manufacturers box and contain 12 single servings of C4 energy in 60ml one shot bottles and each serving has 150mg caffeine. I am a member of a popular social media forum beginning with R which has it's own sub section for "energy drinks" I have read numerous posts over the last year about C4 energy and how it marks 10/10 for taste and effectiveness for a boost, this is for the energy drink cans though. I am yet to find this C4 energy in UK brick stores though despite looking for it, I know it is online in bulk but i may not like it so I would just want to purchase one to begin with. The taste of these drinks is a sour and tart and rather pleasant. To be able to try the C4 shot in UK is brilliant.

I used to take 'SuperPump 250' and 'Jack3d' pre-workout when I was at uni and previously into weight training (around 2010) and have just returned to lifting this year (2023) following a long hiatus. At first I thought this product seemed fairly expensive however when checking back through emails I paid £32 [£46 today] for 800g of SuperPump250 (40 servings) and £28 [£41 today] for 225g of Jack3d (40 servings) in 2009. Therefore this seems like relatively decent value at £19 for 30 servings. As I train in the morning before starting work I thought I'd try a pre-workout again to get me a bit more up for an early morning session. I found this stuff does the job, giving me a bit more mental energy when consumed 30 mins before workout. I now skip my morning coffee if I am taking this and I don't really feel the need for anymore caffeine throughout the day at work. Given the caffeine content it's probably not the best idea to take this if you intend to workout later in the day (or whenever you are close to sleeping).

I love the nocco pre workout drinks they give me a great buzz at the gym, more energy and that raring to GO feeling. But I have had some issues with it recently so decided to try out a few others. Positives of the C4- unlike the ready made pre workouts in a can, you only mix this in with 200 ml of water- good for longer workouts so i m not running to the toilet and thus disturbing my workout (then bumping into someone you know on way back into gym floor who suddenly wants a long chat ) So no annoying toilet breaks. Also doesn t make me sweat like crazy, most pre workouts i feel completely wet and damp after. This was fine. Made lips sting a bit. Super annoying thing that seems so pointless. i would accept it if I got a lot (something even ) in return. Nope. Nocco doesn t do this at all by the way. All in all, just doesn t do what I want from a pre workout- no boost in anything at all. Like drinking water with the annoying tingles. Tastes very bad too.

Ive tried allmanner of Pre workouts, from crazy head buzzing stuff that sends you to the moon, to weak caffeine. Jack3d was my fave as it was a god middle ground, not too buzzy but got you in the zone, Id then add a pump product to it for 45 minutes of endless energy - this does just that. I took half a scoop initially and it wasnt enough so now just take the full scoop. My other half who is stim sensitive also said she didnt feel much on half a scoop so thats a good dign its not OTT - were not drug addicts! So, if you're looking for something that gives great pumps and gives you energy after a long day at work, this is ideal - it also doesnt taste bad like may do (i couldnt finish Recon, went in the bin) so thats a bonus too. My husband, a keen runner, has been using these before long runs to give him an extra boost. They seem to be quite effective and he says that they definitely keep him going. At £19.99, they're a little bit costly but the results are good - my husband is reserving them for the longer distance runs and more challenging fell runs. He drinks one around 30 mins before and they help give him that extra bit of energy. The bottles are quite small and easy to consume quickly. The sour batch flavour is pleasant but very sour! I've had a taste and wow... it's sour lol. It's also sweet, but not too sweet. It's a great way of taking a quick shot of energy, especially before exercise.

Decided to give the icy blue raspberry flavour a try as my preferred pre workout wasn't available at the time. Looking at the amount of positive reviews I gave it a shot. Unfortunately this pre workout leaves a lot to be desired. I didn't experience any rush of energy or tingling sensation like I would with other brands, in fact I didn't feel any indication of the pre kicking in whatsoever. This is quite disappointing considering the pre workout I switched from is a lower caffeine dosage at 185mg/serving, whereas C4 sits at 200mg/serving and is frankly the inferior product! Perhaps I chose the wrong flavour but icy blue raspberry isn't particularly pleasant and is a nice healthy blue colour when mixed.
