I always used rice to clean my grinders, which does a great job, but I noticed my latest and greatest Baratza grinder specficially says "no rice" in the instruction manual. Well, whatever. This is one of the few alternatives specifically marketed as safe for all grinders. Worked great! But then, so did the rice ... at 5% of the cost. But I do love my Baratza so I don't mind pampering it.
This the the first time I purchased this item and it does clean the internal mechanism of the coffee grinder. One has to use an air blower to blow any remaining cleaner out of machine.
I used this in my Baratza Encore and it was super easy! Not sure why I put off doing this for so long. Noticeably different grinds after the cleaning and I have shared it with all my coffee friends to try it out. Definitely recommend!
Bought this to clean my Baratza Encore and Comandante, works well and is a very good deal at this price point. The green-label jar itself looks good on the counter as well.
If you aren't using some sort of grinder cleaner... You HAVE TO. If you care about your coffee... Because that oil residue builds up over time and it builds up thickThis grinder cleaner is so easy to use. Fill the cap as indicated in their infograph on the jar. Run your grinder until all the pellets have been ground off. Run some sacrificial beans to get rid of any pellet dust and you're good to go
I have used cleaners since I purchased my Breville grinder.. all purchased from Eight Ounce. This product is excellent. I would highly recommend!
I use this to clean the Breville built-in grinder and Lagom P64 with SSP burrs every 6 months. Works very well to extend the life of the burrs and improve the taste of espresso. Highly recommended.
