Brilliant fan for our 13 foot, ensuited caravan. Not too expensive and very easy to install. Partner loves the red light for night reading AND it does not disturb me, lol.
After I purchased one fan for the passenger station on my boat I liked it so much that I purchased a second one for the helm. Excellent fan with variable controls.
Does not move enough air to feel 3' away. The display at the West Marine store in Fort Lauderdale was not working so I couldn't try the fan before I bought it. I'm very disappointed with this fan and would not recommend it. The price is incredibly high for such a cheaply made fan.
Noisy, moves no air, broke in less than a year. Not recommended. Hard to clean, go with Caframo Sirocco fans, they are way nicer
I ordered this fan to replace a similar black fan that moves less air. From the photo I was expect a black fan. Technically that is what I got but it has long WHITE power cord connected to a WHITE control box which must be located somewhere else. This will not work for my application so I am returning the unit for a refund. From the paperwork with the unit it appears they make an all black version but I do not see that option in the WM webpage. I never hooked this up so I can not speak to the performance of the fan. It seems to be built well.
I bought this, about a year ago, for my quarter berth on an O'Day 27 with no air conditioning. In GA ventilation is required. The people at West Marine told me this fan is quiet. At first it was prety quiet but the vibration told me, from my engineering background, that over time things would get worse. They did, see video. I would not buy another $100 fan. There is no more quality than a $20 fan and the $20 fan can be replaced 5 times with the hopes of getting one that works properly.
THIS FAN IS AREAL PIECE OF JUNK ,SHOULD NOT EVEN BE ON THE MARKET ,DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON IT ,,WOULD NOT TAKE IT IF THEY WERE GIVING IT AWAY ...
