Perfect surface / texture and feel for hitting balls with irons. The ability to use your own tee is much better than the standard hollow neck fitting with other brands ; now I can hit all clubs by teeing up the ball at the desired height. Excellent quality and construction. The order was handled very efficiently and shipped in a flash.

This is my second callaway hitting mat. It’s kept outside in all weather conditions and the first one lasted a coup,Ed of years. I normally place it on concrete path that has playground rubber mats and synthetic grass mat from Bunnings. The mat is durable and dosent easily move around too much when hitting into my net

When I opened it, I thought that it was smaller than I imagined it. But you don't need bigger than this. No signs of wear or tear after many hits. I like that its heavy so it stays in place on a concrete floor. Happy with my purchase.

Very good qualtlity mat. Probably meant for off course practice as its quite heavy. But can be lugged around the course.
A bit pricy, but of good quality. The artificial grass looks strong and the ball sits well on it. Ideal for real golf balls or plastic airflow balls in the garden. Both I and my husband use it regularly. We were surprised to find a warning about lead poisoning on the wrapper. I guess there is some in either the rubber or the grass colouring. Either way, it hasnt been a problem and we just make sure we wash our hands well after using. With regard to value, I would have liked a mark in the middle of yes or no. Worth it I guess if you use it a lot.
Great for the money could be better. The spot where the tee goes will sink out of the bottom of matt very easily if you have thick grass under it. There may be another purpose for taking it out. The weight is good as it stays in place when hitting off the tee or off the grass i.e. irons, chip shot, etc. And it's still light enough to carry around. Which that probably the best part. It has a usable carry handle. I mount it on the a peg board in my garage when not in use. Pair this with a good net and you can practice for hours in the back yard.
After spending months getting our back lawn looking good, I needed a way to practice my short game without gouging up the turf. While at a driving range, I noticed how mats are used to save the grassy areas. So I bought the Callaway Hitting Mat. I can hit chips, medium wedges, shot after shot, perfecting the distance and my yard looks as good as it did before I started. I no longer have to worry about my spouse asking, "What is that?" pointing at the scars in the green. I can hit to my heart's content! Bravo for Launch Zone Hitting Mats!
This is perfect. I was tired of paying $10 every time I wanted to hit a bucket of balls, I bought this with some cheap plastic practice balls. I've hit hundreds (if not thousands) of iron shots directly off the turf and it shows no wear. Also comes with a rubber tee that you can put a real tee into, that works great for driving. Saves my lawn, doesn't move on the cement, and my clubs stay perfectly clean. Don't let the small size of the mat scare you, there is more than enough to protect the club from hitting the ground. I would also recommend you remove the rubber tee when hitting from the turf so it doesn't get hit/broken accidently. Love it and would definitely recommend it.
I recently purchased this Callaway hitting mat and am very pleased with the quality. The mat has a durable, weighted rubber backing that keeps the mat stable, and the hitting surface material is also durable and on impact feels very close to an actual fairway turf. I also like the tee holder which accommodates different heights.
A little smaller than I thought it would be, but it works. It is sturdy and high quality and I think it will last a long time. The pile is quite dense, which gives the feel for a tight lie. It is important for something like this to be heavy, so that it doesn't move every time you hit off it. If I had it to do over again I might try the kind that has both fairway and rough-length pile, to try different shots. But this does what I wanted, which is to let me practice chip shots in the back yard without chewing up my lawn.
