I’ve used lostgolfballs before and always got the lowest quality ProV1 they had available, because I’m a beginner but wanted to play the same ball consistently. Recently started playing Supersofts and had better luck with them, and since they’re so much cheaper, I decided to spring for “mint” quality. I sorted through the bucket and honestly the quality is not much better than the “good” balls I had been buying. Still a lot of scuffed balls and older models, and very few balls that I would describe as “like new.” Think I’ll just go back to spending $25/dozen for brand new ones

Entirely PGA legal.Callaway almost hides the key fact of this ball being larger in its advertising, by burying the word "oversized". Instead, Callaway's box should trumpet in bold the phrase "slightly larger, full legal" on the front of the box.[5] My playing partners say this C.S.MAX is easier to see at distance, and to find when maybe lost. I agree. What justification does the average bogey-level golfer have for using the smaller (common) ball, when these C.S.MAX balls are more forgiving? I am certainly not embarrassed to use this smarter-fit MAX ball. I only care about scoring better.Thanks. GJune 2021

I started using the Max on a whim, and it's become my ball. I get a few more yards and higher flight than any other ball that I've tried. At the end of last season my playing partner hit my ball in error. We were both unaware of it, until I hit his ball, a Topflite. It felt like I was hitting a rock, and flew like one too. I let him keep the Max that he'd hit by mistake. On the next tee he hit his best drive of the day, followed by his best approach of the day. Those two swings were enough to convince him that the Max was for him too,

Coming off a wrist injury and game pretty down, I thought good time to try out the Callaway MAX ball. Couldn't hurt. Mid handicap struggling to break 85 at a fairly easy course. First round, played okay, liked the feel of the ball and seemed to track very straight. Second round final hole, positioned for a possible par, at worst a boggie to break 80 for first time ever (several 80s but never got it done). Pressure got to me and I choked, but great round. Third round front nine, 15ft putt for eagle on 575y Par 5. Bad stroke never gave it chance but tap in bird. Back 9 same hole, 12ft put for eagle and drained it!! Possible 2 two eagles in one round. I've only had about 5 eagles ever. Could be a coincidence, could be the ball. All I know is I'm sold. How can I use ... MoreComing off a wrist injury and game pretty down, I thought good time to try out the Callaway MAX ball. Couldn't hurt. Mid handicap struggling to break 85 at a fairly easy course. Love them off the tee. Nice and straight with pretty good distance. Closer to the pin, they fall apart for me. Have a real hard time stopping them with the short irons. I once hit a nice high 9 iron that landed on the green and rolled out an extra 50 feet (I walked it off from the ball mark). And they have a really weird feel on the putter. It feels like you have to hit them twice as hard as other balls to get them to the hole. End of the day, if your big issue is keeping drives in play, it's a great ball. But if you're already decent with that, look for something else.
I ordered a dozen Callaway super soft yellow balls. I play this ball regularly. Low spin, hits straight and long. I can see the bright yellow better than any other colored ball. I am completely satisfied with this ball!I had them personalized with an alignment line and 3 letters “—— JOE ——“ . It looks good out of the box. That looked good for about 9 holes. It faded and wore off and my name was unreadable after 18 holes. The original ball markings are still good after 4 rounds with that ball. The personalization is just a light smudge.I usually play one ball for multiple (4-6) rounds with “JOE” written on it with a sharpie. Sometimes I have to remark them. The personalization is sub standard, and just creates a smudge or blight on the ball. Please find a way ... MoreI ordered a dozen Callaway super soft yellow balls. Being a senior golfer I really appreciate the Callaway Supersoft golf balls. Compression of about 38 is just right for me. I love that these are sold in multiple colors and the orange and pink ones show up really great on the course. I find they go far and straight. Just what I had in mind. A big improvement in the supersofts of years gone by. Callaway and Dow Chemical company collaborated on these and the result was a great hybrid cover that does the golfer justice. The old supersofts had a difficult time holding green. These ones do just fine in that realm. Very impressed. Delivery was prompt. Job well done by all.
I took these out today to compare them against the Titleist Tour Speed (TS) and Callaway Chrome Soft(CS). They clearly out drove both of them in both distance(through a few fairways that had doglegs) and accuracy. They were somewhat comparable in the mid-iron approach shots and wedges as far as spin and accuracy. Although they do appear to launch a little bit higher than the others. They also seemed to be relatively unaffected by the "gentle" Kansas breezes today. The TS and CS seemed to stop a little bit faster. But after I got used to to the bounce, hop and stop with the Super Softs they were every bit as accurate. Putting took more than a few holes to get used to. They're softer than what I'm used to playing, but once you get used to them- they're spot on.So- ... MoreI took these out today to compare them against the Titleist Tour Speed (TS) and Callaway Chrome Soft(CS). The ball works fine but it is a little bigger than the standard size ball and wouldn't fit in the ball washer on my cart which was slightly annoying. At first I thought it might be illegal which would be pretty strange. Looked on the internet to find out the ball can be bigger but not smaller than the standard size. Just for the slight inconvenience I will be going back to the Bridgestone balls I was using previously. The ball reacted fine.
Mid handicapper, 65 y/o and was losing distance with all clubs. Attributed to just getting older and I have played a 90 compression ball for several years, not understanding the implication of that decision. I researched the need for a lower swing-speed player to use a low compression ball, so I tried the Supersoft Max. Very playable, recovered some lost distance and good feel around the green. it is very evident that the ball has more spring off the club with a lower swing speed. Very good price point, and seems to offer some game improvement as well as some distance. Highly recommend
