BRING BACK THE OLD DESIGN
5 September 2020

originally posted on callawaygolf.com

Absolutely HATE the new "updates" to the revolutionary 2014 design. The *entire* point of the X-spann glove was a compression fit WITHOUT a velcro strap, creating a slip-on glove that lessened the fuss of getting the glove on and off, reaching in a pocket for a ball or a tee without the strap getting snagged on anything, etc. The addition of the strap should have resulted in an entirely new name for this glove. It is no longer an X-spann glove, Callaway. The strap catches on everything. The fit isn't there anymore. Just an awful, awful glove. The old design is FAR superior. Bring it back, now.

Bring back the old version!

Like so many others, I agree that the latest version with the adjustable closure is not an improvement on the original design that had no velcro. I purchased the previous design yearly. I looked forward to it. It was such a great glove in so many ways: no closure, easy-on/easy-off, perfect snug fit, overall design and performance. All excellent. This new version is not an upgrade. It shouldn't even be considered the same model. It's negatively different from the old version in every way that made the original great. I'm also not a fan of the vent holes on the palm side. Immediately after trying it on, the difference was clear. Returned immediately. Please bring back the previous design! I miss it already.

Calloway has dissapointed me in this remake of a great original Xspann golf

When golfers find something as great as the original Xspann golf glove, we like to keep using it becasue is as much a part of our game as an Odysey putter or . Epic irons, Technical redesigns of clubs is great, but something as personal as a glove is quite different indeed. Calloway made a mistake in the redesign of the Xspann golf glove with its newer adjustable closure and substandard "leather like" material. Calloway - FIX this please. If you need to charge a little more for materials then adjust your pricing accordlingly. This is not rocket science.

Don't Buy Useless Protection Plan
18 September 2020

I dropped $20 for this glove, which I though was a bit much, but I liked it so whatever... While checking out the cashier offered the one year protection plan for $3.99. I of course say yes, as I usually go through 4 or 5 gloves a year. I figured I was getting 2 gloves for $24, not so bad. Well, I was wrong. I wore a hole in the palm of the glove about 5 weeks later. I signed on filled out the forms and submitted a claim. Asurion denied the claim and stated that the product was still covered under the manufacturers warranty. I checked out Callaway's website and found this... "This warranty does not cover paint scratches, cosmetic blemishes or other normal wear and tear."I wouldn't expect Callaway to offer protection from normal wear and tear, but when I purchased ... MoreI dropped $20 for this glove, which I though was a bit much, but I liked it so whatever... Good Glove But......
1 April 2021

So I absolutely love the fit and feel of this glove. It's fantastic and fits my hand perfectly. The problem is it wears out WAY too fast. I've been through 3 of these since November and that honestly wouldn't be a problem if it weren't so expensive. It's by far the most comfortable glove I've ever worn but that comfort only lasts as long as the leather portion does. The leather is so thin that it stretches easily and just becomes horrible to wear. And God forbid you sweat or get that leather damp in any way; it'll just stretch and wear out faster. If they sold these in a 3-pack for $20, then it would be worth it.What sucks now is I have to find another glove that fits my weird hands and will last. Gonna try the Dawn Patrol because the reviews on that one are ... MoreSo I absolutely love the fit and feel of this glove. It's fantastic and fits my hand perfectly. Good glove but not as good as the prior version
15 October 2020

I've been wearing x-spann gloves for years and I have to completely agree with everyone who feels the older version was better than the current. That said, the current version still fits me better than other gloves, and has proven extremely durable. IMO, the old version was the best golf glove on the market - but I can't say the same about the new one. The fit and feel isn't quite as good, and I can't figure out why there's a mini velcro closure? Yeah, I can hang the glove on my bag but it doesn't seem to have any other purpose.

Good glove but…
15 February 2023

This a a nice glove. I like the material on the back of the hand. Helps things cook a bit in the summer months. It is a little difficult to take off but no mT that big of deal. Comfortable and seems to have good grip overall but doesn’t seem to hold up quite as long as others in the palm.

It Wasn't Broke
20 December 2022

I still don't understand why Callaway chose to change this glove from the first generation. It fit better, lasted longer, and in my opinion looked better. That being said, the chevrons on the fingers don't last nearly as long as the rest of the glove, disappointing.

Older Model is far superior
22 July 2020

Not to beat a dead horse from prior reviews but man I loved the older generation of this glove. I used to order 4-5 at a time. No I am saddened that I can no longer get a hold of one. The best part i liked about this glove was being able to reach into my pocket for a tee without a glove strap snagging the edge of my pants pocket. and now guess what happens...SNAG!. This glove is still a high quality glove but the fit is not perfect and I really miss my older one. Please ring it back! or ship me any extras still sitting around the warehouse!

Prior Generation was the BEST glove I've ever worn...
21 April 2021

The Callaway X Spann Golf Glove, Prior Generation is the only glove I will wear. It fits perfectly on my hand without having to pull a velcro strap over to constantly tighten the fit. It lasts a full year and doesn't have that strap that always wears out easily. Not sure the reason for the change, but this new glove is not a glove I will continue to purchase. Unfortunately, I have bought all the Callaway X Spann Golf Glove, Prior Generation gloves that I can find and I'm not sure what I'm going to do when they all wear out... Please make a new generation glove like the old generation.
