First the good, the shell is powder coated and very durable. It will keep coffee hot for several hours. If I stopped there I would give it 5 stars. However the lid was horribly designed and obviously never tested before going into production. The deep lip in combination with the design of the spout causes coffee to pool around the spout. If you are sitting at your desk all day it's probably not a big deal but if you carry the mug anywhere you will frequently have it dripping coffee. I really wanted to love these mugs but they are so frustrating to use. A perfect mug would have the lid of a Contigo West Loop and the body of the Camelbak

I will admit, at first I didn’t like this water bottle. I spilled often while drinking. It took some getting used to for sure. It did keep my water nice and cold though. I love the navy blue color and I love the handle on it. It makes it wet easy to carry with you. It fits perfectly in my car cup holders. I haven’t tried coffee in it yet. I’m still having issues with spilling occasionally while drinking, so I don’t want to take the chance with coffee quite yet! I do like how you can press the button to open it for a quick sip, or you can hold down the button and slide the lever over to keep it open. Overall, I like this product and with more use, I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it more!

I chose this thermos for my husband so he would finally get rid of his old plastic sheetz thermos. This definitely is a better choice. It is leak-proof, and the apparatus for sipping seals well. It is a little difficult to maneuver if you have small/weak hands, but my husband doesn't seem bothered by it, since he has neither problem. It is easy to clean and put back together. The thermos keeps things warm, but not hot. After three hours, boiling hot water (for tea) was only warm. Compared to other brands, which keep things hot much longer, this one is decent, but not as good as I'd like. I do think it is better for keeping things cold, but I have not extensively tested that aspect yet. Overall, not a bad choice.

I was looking for either a new mug or tea diffuser that would fit the mug I already had. I already have this mugs big brother 500ml and when I saw camelbak do a diffuser that fits most of there mugs it was a no brainer to get this mug. The mug keeps the water kettle hot for about 2hrs at 3hrs ish its drinkable hot. I made a drink about 10pm didn't get round to drinking it and 8am the following morning it was slightly north of tepid. Having used the 500ml version for water and making mug shots for 2 years ish I see no reason why the 350ml version shouldn't work just as well. My work is transient and the mugs live on the outside of my back pack and do nocked about but after 2 years the 500ml one still looks good and drinking spout is water tight I haven't used it for ... MoreI was looking for either a new mug or tea diffuser that would fit the mug I already had. The diffuser fits perfectly there is loads of room for a tea spoon of loose tea to expand in fact when I have a second brew I leave the first leaves in and put the second lot in on top and still there is plenty of room after they have expanded.
Do not purchase unless you want to ruin your clothes! After you take a drink, the liquid pools in the top of the lid so when you tip it back the liquid runs out the back of the lid. I have 4 of these and they all leak. CamelBak sent me a replacement lid and it leaks. It leaks because of the way it is designed. They obviously did not test it before they put it in to production!!! I have contacted CamelBak and they told me if they do try to correct the poor design, it won’t be until maybe next year.
Bottle and powder coating is typical high quality and excellent performance we’ve come to expect and appreciate from Camelbak. The lid is poorly designed and leaks when liquids back flow into the seal. I finally disposed of the bottle after ongoing leaks in my car, on my clothing, etc. If Camelbak would offer an alternative lid I (like the Chute 360 degree) for this bottle I would have invested because I love this size. It fits my car’s drinkholders perfectly, but I can’t stand the leaking!
I had a much older version of this mug about 8 years ago and LOVED it. I got this new version and was very excited until I used it. It leaks liquid down the back of the lid where you press the lever/trigger. I thought it was a one-off and my partner called Camelbak and explained the issue and they said they would send a new lid, but it never arrived. I had a second one in storage, as I really really loved this mug, so I bought two at once. I tried using the second one and the same thing happens. I think the "backwash" gets in the lid's spring-loaded mechanism and then runs along it and out the back. It's a serious design flaw. I love the insulation, colour, and carry loop of this mug. I also have a personal dislike of thick-lipped drinking vessels and the lip of this mug is soooo thin and satisfying. This would truly be my favourite mug if it didn't leak, but because it does I HATE it and plan of trashing it.
This thermos took some getting used to, but now it's my go-to coffee mug! The drinking mechanism was different than what I had used before. You can hold the button to open the spout while drinking and then the spout closes automatically when you let go. This is a super nice feature while driving. When the spout is closed I haven't had any issues with spilling. You can also lock the spout open for times when you are not worried about spilling. The thermos keeps my coffee hot for a good amount of time. I don't know exactly how long but I would say at least 30-45 minutes. I also like that outside of the thermos doesn't have any issues with heat or moisture. It is a nice size mug that fits nicely in my cup holder as well!
I have an old Camelbak Forge travel mug. Best travel mug ever made. It’s old and beat up, but still doesn’t leak and still holds temperature fantastically. I still use it every day. Unfortunately, Camelbak stopped manufacturing these. The new Forge Flow I have purchased is decidedly average. Just as good as any generic travel mug you could buy just about anywhere. I will use it, but I will not love it. I’m sorry that manufacturing excellent quality products did not get them the absolute highest profit margin possible. But I’m sure that the new Forge, with its cheap plastic lid got them a little bit closer to that goal. Congratulations Camelbak.
I really like the size of this travel mug because it fits easily in my backpack pockets. It’s narrow enough to fit most cup holders. This has been something that I’ve struggled to find. It has a silicone bottom so it doesn’t make a loud sound when you put it down. The continuous sip locking mechanism is a must. If you have arthritis, this may not be the cup for you. It might be too hard to push the button in and sip. The lid handle makes it easy to carry. It will definitely keep your drinks hot or cold for hours. I really like the closure mechanism and it makes it easier to travel with than some of the traditional coffee mugs. It nice not having to worry about spills!
