This is crap. Starts off with a plastic handle and a warning on the box not to be used on open flame (ahh camping kettle).. then it doesn’t even whistle. This is utter crap. Sure it boils water but you can get kettles that boil water for much cheaper and can be used with a campfire.
Yet another 240v kettle died, I decided it was time to go back to basics. If its good enough for somewhere wild, it’s good enough for the suburban. Working from home, I drink way too many cups of tea each day. This little whistler is proven to be up to task.
Big enough for a couple of coffees and a bit of hot water leftover for the dishes. Very compact & light. Just have to be careful not to fill it up too much or it splutters. I was a bit worried that it'd be hard to empty properly before it goes into our garage and waits for the next trip, but seems okay.
Bought by partner. Full-time use, live on the road. Hold-down button and short handle means can't pour boiling water without the rising boiling steam burning hand.
2litre kettle is the perfect size for the two of us. Doesn’t take long to boil. Love the Matt black it goes perfectly with our van decor and the snug handle means it stores easily.
Bought a couple of these kettles. One for camping and the other to use during blackouts. Works a treat on the stovetop, boils quickly and love the whistle. Easy to fill through spout, old kettle had a separate lid.
It is a whistling kettle! Able to operate with one hand. Low handle good for packing away.
