I bought this yesterday, and it’s awesome! I’m not into camping, but the reason I bought it was I wanted a sandwich press that was not Teflon. I figured, why not use it on a regular gas stove? So I have (three times today). I use a medium-low heat and cook for 5 mins either side. Excellent little sandwich press. Totally recommend it. (The pics are sweet jaffle: banana, thin sliced apple and pear, crushed walnuts and a sprinkle of cinnamon)

Great product. Great service. My young one loved the jaffles we made. Just need to adjust cook times to get it right. Some food stuck on the iron although I thoroughly sprayed it with olive oil prior.

Have used this on three different heat sources at this time after my seasoning it. Firstly on a portable gas stove - turned out well just a little bit slow, a Weber Baby Q but had to remove handles as they were too long to close the lid completely - also a bit slow as there wasn’t direct heat and finally on Heat Beads - which was a lot quicker. All methods gave satisfactory results and were enjoyed.This Jumbo iron is so much better than than the older smaller double iron that I previously used.

I have used the Jaffle iron twice since purchase and have found it great. The size allows for the use of normal slices of bread with out the excess being squeezed over the side. The pre seasoning of the item made its initial use excellent. Having detachable handles that unscrew makes storage and cartage easier, though a more robust clip to hold handles together when cooking would be ideal. Very satisfied with my purchase
Big fan of this for an easy option for food while camping. Plenty of different meals to make with this, ranging from breakky, lunch & dinner through to dessert. An essential for all camp-chefs!
Great for a quick and easy meal at at camp. Fits a full size bread and if oiled or buttered right releases easy. Even used it on the home bbq grill and works well. Be careful will be hot.
I bought one of these recently, they are great if you can find large enough slices of bread to fit into them. I have been a Jaffle lover and cooker for over 40 years and I hate the current trend to double jaffle irons, when I saw this one I was most impressed, unfortunately it is too big to seal most standard slices of bead. The whole idea of a good jaffle is to have the slices of bread totally sealed and the crusts are cut off as crusts do not seal. This jaffle iron is too big at 120mm x 120mm, with an iron of 100mm x 100mm you will be able to make far better jaffles with standard sized bread
Full size solid cast iron so of course it's heavy. It makes sense to use it 2-handed with a glove to properly support and place it in coals. I see people complaining about the weight but if you want to cook 2 jaffles at once with a quality product, this is how it is. The price was excellent given that other pre-seasoned cast iron jaffle makers can easily be 3 times as much. We're really happy with it and look forward to lots of easy meals while we're away for 4 months in the bush.
Bought this hoping it would be a good replacement for my old old jaffle iron and boy oh boy does it impress me.Seals up well thanks to the internal lip overlap so no stress about ya snacks leaking put. Hinge is solid AF.Long handles help keep your knuckle hairs safe .
I bought this because like everyone else, I was sick of burnt bread outside the iron. clearly who every designed this is overcompensating . Its simply too big for any bread slices. Takes huge amounts of filling BUT WILL NOT SEAL AROUND THE EDGES. Totally useless, It doesnt even get packed anymore
