The silk pillowcases are good quality and sturdy (not flimsy and prone to tearing etc). They are attractively boxed and would make a nice gift. I wash the pillowcases in the washing machine on a normal wash cycle in a laundry bag for delicates - and dry them in the clothes drier on a warm setting (not hot). There has been no need to give the pillow cases special attention with hand washing or line drying. They are also a good size and will fit a fat standard pillow. I'm very pleased with the purchase and would not hesitate to but more.

I bought these pillowcases to help smooth my frizzy hair. Since using, there has been significant improvement- smoother, silkier hair. I looked at previous reviews so was aware the silk part was on only ONE side of each pillowcase. They come in a lovely presentation box which is handy to store the one I’m not using. The sapphire blue colour is gorgeous and shipping was super quick.

No problem using the silk pillow slips, however 5 layers of packaging is not acceptable. This item is not fragile and breakable I cannot understand how you claim sustainable practices when so much unnecessary packaging is used. Packaging costs money and needs to be disposed of somewhere by someone which again is a cost factor. The environment needs help by people being mindful of what is or isn’t necessary. Hopefully thinking caps can go on and reducing your packaging will happen.

Repeat purchase in a different colour - this is how much I love these pillowcases. The silk side makes such a difference to my hair and face. No more early morning birds nest hair or sleep marked face. Silky side stays lovely and cool even on the hottest nights. Cotton side keeps the pillow in place without affecting the silk side. Easily hand washes or delicate cycle in a lingerie bag. If you have been unsure about the benefits of a silk pillowcase try these ones as they give the best of both worlds at a good price

I had wanted to try a satin pillow case as a last resort to help calm the frizz of my curly hair. Most I had investigated were just too expensive. Then I spotted them advertised by Canningvale at a very reasonable price for a pair. I am so delighted with them! They not only have made a huge difference to the frizz, but feel so luxurious to sleep on. Canningvale’s service was quick & efficient; I can’t wait to buy a second pair!

Firstly, the quality of the silk seems more than reasonable. What lets these pillowcases down in my opinion is the very poor quality and rough cotton backing. By contrast these were very scratchy poor quality fabric given the pricetag. Bamboo or a quality cotton alternative would have been a better option . In addition there is nothing ‘premium’ about the finishing of these. I love my silk pillow cases. The silk feels so smooth and soft against my face and thinking about this seems to help me go to sleep! They have washed well (following the recommended instructions) but do need to be ironed. Once ironed they do not crease with use. I will certainly buy more as a special gift for family and friends. (I actually gave a friend a set to use during her long stay in hospital. They found comfort in having such a special gift.)

I was worried that the colour ivory wouldn’t be white enough to match my bedding but they look great! One side is silk and the other is cotton which is good as it prevents your pillow from slipping. It fits snug on the Canningvale pillows too which I’m very happy about. They wash well however I noticed a small fault in one of the pillowcases which Canningvale was quick to fix under their warranty. Overall incredibly satisfied with the quality of products and service that Canningvale has provided.

The Mulberry silk in these pillowcases is beautiful!The texture of the fabric is great for your skin and hair. No more, skin creases in the morning and your hair is not “frizzy” in the morning either . The pillowcases allow your skin to breathe..great for problem skin. Night cream doesn’t come off and the pillowcases don’t heat up. I have purchased several of these so I can change my pillowcases regularly. Recommend you hand wash these and dry in the shade. I also purchased the mulberry silk eye shade and this too is brilliant.Highly recommend!
