This is an excellent camera if you're wanting to take still photos. Great for photography.. however, it you need a camcorder for documenting, movies, or even home videos, do NOT buy this product. It's NOT a camcorder, it's a camera. It says it shoots in 1080, and I believe that, but its autofocus is absolutely terrible. All my videos come out blurry and unwatchable. I am returning this product and upgrading. If you want a camera for video, save your money and spend a couple extra haundred dollars on the XF series.

Pros: I was given this camera to use for two weeks in return for an unbiased review.I have used simple 'point and shoot' cameras for years, including Canon products, and I can honestly say that the image quality is excellent. I posted several pictures on FB, and added that they were taken using this camera. Everyone was impressed by the quality. I compared images taken in the same place with shots taken using my phone and my old 'point and shoot' and the difference was impressive. The settings are intuitive - I did read the enclosed instructions, but the settings are easy to understand without reading. I played with various options, and the results were as I expected. The addition of the zoom lens was a bonus, and facilitates close-ups (nice for wildlife shots). I would recommend adding this option. The feel of the camera is solid - I didn't worry about the zoom lens accidentally falling off, and the lens cap was secure, so no chance of damage. The camera is to large to carry in a pocket, but is not overly heavy to carry using the neck strap. While I cannot upload a photo of the camera itself, I have provided an example which I trust will illustrate the image quality.I understand that Canon advertises this model as an entry level, but in my opinion, it has options that would serve any armature photographer, and some professionals as well.Cons: The price point might be too high for some, but Canon does offer rebates from time to time.

Pros: Excellent camera for first time DSLR users. It makes it very easy to take superb, high quality & professional looking images without feeling overwhelmed by complicated settings and menus.I could literally turn the camera on, select a fully automatic mode on the mode dial and take a beautiful looking picture in seconds. I really liked the on-screen descriptions to help you choose which mode to shoot with, depending on the subject and location - very handy for beginners. The camera isn't heavy or cumbersome - even with the lens attached it was comfortable around the neck with the included strap, and the lens cap is easy to remove so you can shoot quickly. I could simply touch the area of the frame on my iPad I wanted to focus on and the camera would instantly adjust the lens to match. Amazing. There was very minimal lag when doing so too, so it was a pleasure to use.Cons: The WiFi connection was a little tricky to get set up and connected to my iPad - it took a few attempts to understand the instructions on both the camera and the app but once connected it worked very well. The flash needs to be manually opened if you want it to use it, it won't automatically pop up in low light conditions like it does on more expensive models. The camera body itself feels solid but is quite plasticky. I don't think it would survive being dropped from a height so I'd say it's essential to use the neck strap when using to avoid any accidents!

Easy camera to use. Even for someone like me (60 yrs old and not a technical person) As I learn, I am looking forward to taking more photos of the birds around my home! They are beautiful and I have always wanted to do photos. The price was fantastic for the amount of accessories that we got in the package deal. This was a joint 10 year wedding anniversary present for my husband and I! He loves it too! Sorry I dont have any really good pictures YET to post for this review, I will edit and update as I get better at it!
I got this camera a little bit after my birthday back in October. This camera is amazing, it takes excellent features but it’s got its limitations. I’d recommend doing so DEEP research before purchasing this specific model. The T100 is considered to be a "crippled camera" which is something I wish I would’ve known from the beginning. So it has a funny hot shoe and won’t work with certain speedlites and third party flashes. Also, it doesn’t come with a microphone port so if you get a mic get the adapter so it’ll work. Other than that it’s a pretty great starter camera but I’d definitely like to try other options.
Nice kit to start out with. Camera seems to have some nice features and I'm enjoying trying out different settings. My only complaint is that the owner/user manual doesn't do a great job of explaining what many of the features of the camera will actually do; it just sort of tells you that they exist. It's fun to learn through experimentation but I feel like I could save some time with a more thorough manual.
I have always wanted to get into photography, specifically for the music industry, but always found professional cameras to pricey. After many talks with professionals I finally stopped aiming for the fancy equipment and focusing on just getting started. After hours of searching I chose this package due to good reviews on the camera itself and all the extras that came with it. Its honestly the best bang for my buck right now and great user friendly beginners camera. The ratings on here for 1 star over a lack of an instruction manual are asinine. Yes it would be nice to have a physical instruction manual, but after one google search I was directed to the Canon website with a downloadable instruction manual. Now its saved in the files on my phone for quick easy access. The camera screen was in another language (Portuguese) when I turned it on, but again, one easy google search and i found instructions on how to change to English. Complete with pictures so you can go by the icons. So if you want a good solid beginners camera and are a resourceful person, then this the camera for you!
I've had this camera for about 10 months shooting just for fun and my gosh it's got everything for a beginner expect for one thing. The video is not that good if you looking for decent video, there's no Video AF, only 1920x1080p 30FPS and no automatic video exposure. But it has amazing photography for the price! It's got decent AF, great lens options and decent colors. You'll for sure great the professional look once you learn to take photos :). Would recommend to any beginner not wanting invest too much!
Pros: Great DSLR camera for the price. Has full manual controls which allow you to be as creative as you want, but also has auto modes for beginners. The 2 kit lenses are pretty good and cover most focal lengths from 18-300mm (25-420mm full frame equivalent)Connects to you phone easily via WiFi to allow you to upload photos to your editing app and social media etc... also you phone can work as a remoteCons: No socket for a remote cable, so have to rely on the phone connection for the bulb (long shutter) not the end of the world , but a button on a cable like the more expensive options would be nice. There’s no option to lock the minimum shutter speed, this is important for certain styles such as street photography
Pros: Really light, in comparison to other DSLR’s, so much easier to carry around. WiFi capability that works like a dream to transfer your images to your computer/phone/tablet. Familiar buttons and settings. It’s now my favourite ‘Everyday’ DSLR because it’s so much lighter and easy to use. Lots of ‘On Board’ editing software built in to encourage new users to experiment with image editing and effects. The cost is great too.Cons: You pay for the advantage of being so light by the use of plastic where other, heavier DSLR’s use metal. The lens mount is plastic, but if you don’t keep swapping lenses it will not matter one little bit. Build quality is very good, so the use of plastic doesn’t scream at you. Fairly small rear screen, but not by much.
