I purchased the Canon M50 Mark II 2 years ago solely for my YouTube channel. This is my first mirrorless camera and so far it has been a useful and efficient tool to taking high quality videos and giving out vibrant and nice contrast photos. I love its compact size (lightweight and comfortable grip) and easy to use features.The Mark II has subtle modifications compared to its predecessor, the Canon M50. Something I use a lot and really appreciate about the M3 is the exposure compensation dial. Needless to say, the M50 Mark II has it on a display item. Oh well, small price to pay for having the articulated back display which is so much more useful than the tilting display on the M3. Also, it would have been nice if the M50 had a built in flash, but it is also nice that it has a built in viewfinder. I only use the back display as a viewfinder when these old bones won't bend enough to enable me to look through the viewfinder. It's an exceptional camera with its very fast DIGIC 8 processor and superior menu system of choices.It fits very well (in your hands) despite its smaller size.The build quality is evident quality (Made In Japan). There are other low grade choices but we all would prefer to use a 24-105mm L lens without having to add a adapter to this camera body.Still a great if not excellent choice for a lightweight, high performance camera at a very affordable price.

There are many YouTube tutorials to help you learn the camera, and the touch screen settings are great. I've managed some fairly decent photos so far, and getting better all the time. I shoot in AV mode much of the time, but it's pretty easy to switch to manual to control shutter speed and ISO as well. The lens is fairly versatile, although the aperture speed changes with the focal length. It gets fairly wide angle at 15mm, enough to take decent landscapes, but don't expect much in the way of zoom. So far I have no complaints, other than that I wish there was more lenses, but I am very happy to see there is a lens adapter to use with my previous cameras. I bought this recently to replace a travel compact camera. It is a good step up for a casual photographer who wants a simple camera to operate but has more ompf than a camera phone or travel compact. In addition to the 15-45mm lens that came with it I later purchased the 55-200mm telephoto lens and an extra battery. Swapping lens is quick and easy. It shoots quickly and photo quality is lovely.It links with a phone very easily to upload photos or for remote control. The swivel screen is a very useful feature too. I use the view finder a lot compared to framing on the screen. Only downsides are that batteries need the charger and can't be charged in camera via USB and it seems that Canon may be winding down EFM support, but these are only minor issues.
