I bought the R100 with the pancake lens specifically to do street photography. This is my first Canon mirrorless and I am surprised by how much capacity is in on little camera. I have a Canon T3i and this is as much or more camera for about half the price. It's incredibly basic, but it's 100% able to grow with the photographer. It's a very competent photographer's back-up body masquerading as a point-and-shoot camera. It is so small and unobtrusive that street photography is a delight. Don't focus on what it's not, focus on how much camera it is and you'll be thrilled. It reminds me of my Pentax ME that was a compact delight to use. Get one today.

They had an entire display set up for this camera. I buy it just to wait almost 2 hours to find out they don't actually have it. They then proceed to offer a refund, and to come back and try again tomorrow. I protest saying you just took my money which I will not get back for a few days ( it being a sat) so why do you only have two delivered at a time...?Make it make sense. Here it is Sunday no money no camera and no call or mention of a resolution so far. My first day of membership has been the absolute worse!! Do better!!

Good beginner camera without all the complicated bells and whistles of the higher end options. Comes with everything you need except an SD card. Kit lens is decent, but you might want to spend some more for a lower aperture prime lens for portraits.

I bought this to back up an R10 for overseas travel. (An R8 backs up my R5 at home.) Photo forums have trashed the R100 as plasticky junk with an old sensor, old DIGIC, no touchscreen, and missing features, dials, and buttons. I say, so what? It’s an inexpensive mirrorless backup that I’ll probably seldom use. But I’ll sure be glad I have it if my main camera ever gets trashed or stolen. And it feels solid, not plasticky, and grippy too. In considering gear purchases, evaluate your own needs and ignore the naysayers.

There is a lot to choose from!I finally picked this one, based off the package deal and some reviews from other Canon lovers.This camera does NOT disappoint!I work in the Whale watching industry, and after one trip I felt confident in my abilities to take a great photo.It's super lightweight, compact and amazing footage makes this camera a go to!Super excited about this purchase. Missing items. Missing the 18-45 lens, lens mount adapter, Missing battery and charger, camera cover, and lens cap keeper. The camera case is a worthless piece of junk. The camera is awesome. Just missing a lot of items that were paid for.
I used to do professional photography when I was younger and I am getting back into it. My sister has also asked me to be the photographer for niece & nephews christening and for her wedding. This camera is perfect if you want to start using mirrorless cameras and are used to the EOS Rebel cameras.This is the most affordable and lightweight EOS camera you can currently get from canon.This is now my go to camera for content creation. At 24.2MP and DIGIC 8 processor. It’s perfect for general use as well as full hd video recording.Bluetooth and wifi work great, which makes it easy to transfer content on the fly.Merchant was great.
