I bought this printer 45 days ago and have printed hundreds of shots school photos, land scape etc. B % H has the most items for this print as well. It has a disposable cheap waste tank so no lock ups when full super nice at this price. The only printer that comes close to this one in quality is the ET8550 and more than twice the price. it doesn't clog like my epsons. If I don't print on my epson every few days I have problems. I have a canon pro 100 and a pro 1000 and an epson P700 and the XP 7100 and for small work 8x10 and below I use this printer 90 Percent of the time. The colors are bright and very nice especially on gloss semi and art paper with at least a semi gloss. Prints real well on the cheap koala paper that is the Luster. Now this is a 100 percent photo printer. sure it does office stuff but if you want a good office printer get the Canon Image class MF743 or something like that. This is really dialed in for photos. You will make your money back fast and once you dial in your prints u can't touch it. Also note its not good on thick card stocks yay are flat flat its great if you use a semi gloss or gloss or luster. if using a lot of black as it does not have a flat photo black like the Pro 1000 or the Epson P700 -900 does but so worth the money when dye is ok and not having to use Ink. No big deal on giving up some printing speed for outstanding photos. I have scanned and copied documents, no complaints. Enjoy the luxury of no ink cartridges.I would recommend the Canon G620 MegaTank printer.

First of all, I wanted a tank type and this one has six (includes gray). That was "a piece of cake" and the quality of the photo was excellent.

I ordered this printer and a few different sizes of Canon photo paper.It's great, instead of submitting a photo online and hoping I provided a correctly exposed and framed image I can tweak settings in real time on 4x6 paper at ~5 cents per sheet until I get it exactly right and then print larger. Once it was set up, it took a few straightforward button clicks on my Mac and have been able to print no problem via Wifi from the Mac.

The prints themselves are truly stunning, and far exceed the quality you would receive with the vast majority of "printing services" (other than the higher end, more reputable ones; usually found online). It is a truly amazing feeling to be able to print all of your favorite shots, without having the constant sense of dread that your ink supply will run out any minute from now. Since its delivery (which was now 3 days ago) I have print at least 50+ 4x6 and 15+ 8.5x11, yet the ink wells have barely dropped from their initial fill level. If anything, I am now more worried about having to spend too much on photo paper, instead of ink!Not only are the prints stunning, but they are also VERY close to matching what I have on my screen. That said, I do use a Canon R5 for my shots, as well as the Canon photo print paper, so this may play a certain small role in it.In the end, I am thrilled that I chose to go with the Pixma G620, as I can now print as many of my photos as I want, instead of having to carefully choose which ones I'd rather print so as to avoid constantly paying $100+ in order to purchase new ink cartridges. Granted, I've only had it for a few days, so things can still happen. But if it continues to do what it has been doing these last few days, I will be sure to recommend the G620 to any photographer looking for an efficient way to get great prints of their favorite shots! Setup was easy, but it is odd moving into a post covid electronics era where units that normally had color touch screens in the past now have calculator screens from the 80s. It works, but scrolling during setup and registering paper types takes longer. The screen and buttons feel a bit cheap, double-sided printing is possible but isn't easy, and there is no internal paper cassette so paper is always visible hanging out in the rear tray. Those are my only complaints. Scanning and making copies is easy and they look great. I'm using it as a do-it-all printer for everything from printing homework to photos. I bought this printer to replace a 10-year-old Epson Artisan 50 that broke, and I was tired of wasting so much expensive ink on nozzle cleaning. The many reviews I read were positive so I figured Iād give the G620 a try.When I got the printer installed on my MacBook Pro via USB, I was surprised at how bare-bones the printer driver was, especially compared to the Windows driver, and that according to the manual in order to print borderless on a Mac I need to set an option on the printerās small LCD panel before each print in addition to specifying borderless in the print dialog. The many reviews I read were positive so I figured Iād give the G620 a try.When I got the printer installed on my MacBook Pro via USB, I was surprised at how bare-bones the printer driver was, especially compared to the Windows driver, and that according to the manual in order to print borderless on a Mac I need to set an option on the printerās small LCD panel before each print in addition to specifying borderless in the print dialog. This is extremely frustrating.On top of that, to perform maintenance functions and settings like nozzle checks and cleaning I need to open and log into the āprinter web pageā as these features arenāt available in the print driver on OSX (theyāre available in the Windows driver, as are a host of other useful settings). My old printer had a much more functional Mac driver that the G620.I was also surprised that unlike previous photo printers Iāve owned I was unable to turn off printer color management and use Photoshop and Lightroomās color management (this is apparently the case on Windows as well as Mac), though the prints Iāve made so far using the G620ās printer color management seem pretty accurate.I love the MegaTank feature, and the print colors seem to be really good, but as a Mac user the lack of a fully functional OSX printer driver and the extra manual step in borderless printing on OSX are disappointing.For Windows users that donāt need to use their photo applicationās color management I would recommend this printer and give it at least 4 stars.
I have enjoyed using this printer for the most part. I bought it to print small batches of note cards that I sell along with my fine art prints (printed on Canon Pro-4100). So why 4 stars rather than 5? Well I'm a bit disappointed in the limitations on the borderless printing. Canon's printer driver only supports specific paper sizes for borderless printing and Statement (1/2 letter - 5.5x8.5) is not one of them and of course my note card stock is Statement sized. My workaround has been to switch to Letter sized stock and print to cards to a page and then cut them. It adds an extra step, but it works for now. I hope Canon updates the driver to allow Statement sized borderless printing.
The G620 does some things GREAT and others are not so great, hence the 3-star rating. First the great: The quality of photographs on high-quality glossy paper is outstanding! Printing photographs from Lightroom using the exact setup I used with digital printing service, the prints came out a bit dark. After very quickly adjusting exposure and tweaking contrast a bit, the pictures were comperable to the digital printing service I use. Regular every-day printing on standard 20# bright white paper was also very good, though slow (but that's why we also have a laser printer). Now for the not-so-great. First, setting up the wireless connection was a colossal pain. Extremely poor user interface that made the process slow and tedious. Printing photographs on high-quality matte paper produced far inferior results. I tried using two different brands of paper, both heavy weight papers. The colors on the print are muted and edges in the photograph are indistinct leading me to wonder about color bleed in the paper (we live in a rather high-humidity environment) - but this is just a guess. While I am disappointed in the matte print quality, the outstanding quality of prints on glossy paper makes the printer worth the purchase for me.
