Clogged nozzles

Expect clogged nozzles for infrequently used colours or if the printer is not used for a while. Difficult to fix and you need a nozzle cleaning kit not easily obtained fast. I only use Black most of the time, to save ink. Went to print A4 Colour posters; Failed. Don’t waste your money. Canon would not replace, refund and will not fix post 12months.

Its been a while since I've used a canon printer. It is a great printer and the ink tanks are really cost effective. My only gripe would be the number of error messages that seem to come up and sometimes it isn't that straight forward to resolve. It can get irritating when you have lots of printing to do and its interrupted. Overall, its a good printer.

Great Printer, Great Printing

First thing you notice is the small footprint. Very neat and tidy. Ink is EASY to use. Printing is great, it just works. Scanning is good, but scanning photos is ok. Very easy to install, very much appreciated.

I am ripping my hair out over this stupid printer.
16 July 2022

Was told by staff it was the bee's knees. Was told that it was a great buy. Since getting it and setting it up, nothing but PRINTING ISSUES. Despite following the manual to a tee, it will print from the tray then demand that it print from the cassette. I get it right then it goes again. I am returning it. I will NEVER buy Canon again.

Mistake choice
1 June 2021

My husband give me this printer for mother's day, when we installed the printer and start all work ok, but next day wi-fi on printer stop work. Also ink will be quickly gone.Don't recommend canon G6060.

Overpriced for slow printing and streaky colours
29 September 2022

This printer is only good for black and white printing. The colour pages always have lines through them even after multiple attempts to clean and readjust the print heads

Poor quality from Canon! Dissapointing!
23 January 2023

I bought this printer to save ink, I do not print much, and the ink clogged a lot, Ink flush deplete 1/3 tank, then after a couple montths, the ink head is clogged again. this printer is useful only when you print a lot, printing occasionally ended up cost more!

Waste of money
16 November 2021

Purchased end of May 2020 & by Nov 2021 it ceased working. Home use. Only printed between 951-1000 pages. Reason: Error code 6800 which indicates the logic board has failed.

Worst decision buying this printer
24 August 2021

For photos it is shockingly bad. No matter what paper or settings I use, the blacks are nowhere near black. Even my old lazer printer did blacker blacks. Also, after only about 6 months, my prints on archival photo paper had faded to a green. The ink it not lightfast at all! It is a gimic of a printer. For text, it literally takes about an hour to print about 50 or so pages. Insanely slow. It takes a long break every several pages... like it needs to have a nap and cool down or something. Also, it is incapable of printing in black and white on a mac. All text documents have coloured edges around the text, clearly visible attempts at creating grey "antialiasing" using the coloured ink. I've researched this after buying it, and found that Canon blames Apple for bad drivers that don't allow it to print in black ink only. It is ridiculous and Canon needs to take some responsibility for the failure of their own products and their misleading advertising! Also, I have spent hours, hours, hours, and more and more hours restarting this thing, troubleshooting it, resetting it, resetting the paper, etc, because every time I go to use it there is some unknown error. Also it does not print at the resolution it states. It prints a VERY FUZZY 300dpi, and no more. This printer is absolute trash. Don't waste your money. I intend to take it back to Officeworks for a refund as soon as lockdown is over. There are too many catastrophic problems and failings with this so called "mega" printer. PS. My suspicion is that officeworks receives items with unique names (such as G6060) to prevent customers using the price guarantee on essentially identical products sold cheaper elsewhere (such as the G6065). I cannot confirm this but I felt this is their tactic when I shop for items and attempting to get the price guarantee.

Wrong choice
30 May 2021

I bought this thinking it’s a good brand and perfect for kids school projects and home use. Very disappointed in the quality. The printer never delivers consistent quality prints. The colours are always a problem and always needs some maintenance function to be fiddled with to get a decent print.
