If you played the original game on Playstation; this game will be a trip to nostalgia lane, but with a lot of changes in the overall game story. It is not radically different but some things have been changed; plus you have a timer mechanic that force you to be on the edge of your chair all the time (a guy that you can't kill that constantly stalk you around the different areas, kinda like nemesis in RE3). Some may like it some may not.Graphics are amazing and there is a lot of gore. The controls are nice and responsive, and the sound is even more creepy than expected. The bump in graphics and gameplay make this game much more scary, even if you played the original one.The negatives are the fact that the game mechanics are exactly the same as the old version: ... MoreIf you played the original game on Playstation; this game will be a trip to nostalgia lane, but with a lot of changes in the overall game story. It is not radically different but some things have been changed; plus you have a timer mechanic that force you to be on the edge of your chair all the time (a guy that you can't kill that constantly stalk you around the different areas, kinda like nemesis in RE3). You can make the game easier by lowering the difficulty, but you will end up with a shortage of bullets and inventory space constantly. I wish they would fix that ancient design choice from the old game, but the main point of the old resident evil games was to make you uncomfortable so it plays well in the overall spirit of the game.

This is a remake to remember, it's such a fun game though a little more concentrated on the main story and it's cut out some bosses to speed up progression. it's a great game to play through for the story, and afterwards there are speedrun challenges that you can complete to unlock other goodies that make multiple playthrough actually enjoyable. like being able to mow down zombies with a gatling gun.

Remaking an already great game is a difficult thing. Luckily, Capcom managed to absolutely nail their remake of the classic game Resident Evil 2.This remake features many modern upgrades across the board, one of my favorites being the level design of the police department. It loops around in a clever way and it really enhances certain game play elements. The game has a nice difficulty balance where game knowledge can make the game considerably easier. This gives the player a better sense of progression than just flooding the player with resources. In short, wonderful game with a good chunk of content. Definitely worth a proper playthrough!

Great graphics, sound and gameplay with good horror elements and monsters etc. Great characters to play as also being 2 you can choose from. Well worth the purchase and playthrough if you haven't done this previously. Fantastic remake.
I won't go into things very in depth as there have been numerous professional reviews in the last couple of years since Wolfenstein released. I will say that this is easily far and away my very favorite entry in the series. The alternate history science fiction approach is a perfect fit and for the first time, this series has a substantial narrative aspect. The wide assortment of weaponry at your disposal is impressive and using them in various creative ways leads to some gratifying kills. There are times when a stealthy approach is preferable and it's a blast to pull that off. It doesn't feel aggravating or tedious like it does in many other games use of a stealth mechanic. Of course if you blow it or just prefer head on carnage, the player isn't penalized for it ... MoreI won't go into things very in depth as there have been numerous professional reviews in the last couple of years since Wolfenstein released. Of course if you blow it or just prefer head on carnage, the player isn't penalized for it or forced to reload the last checkpoint. You may find that you've bitten off more than you can chew though! Firefights are hectic and crazy fun. I should point out that Wolfenstein has no multi-player content. For me, that wasn't a big deal. The single player campaign is all kinds of fun and the bargain price you can find this for by now makes picking it up a no-brainer.
Ive been a resident evil fan ever since I was in diapers, so to see a modern rendition of the critically acclaimed resident evil 2 is no better way to get those old feelings of being scared once again. Im not a guy who cares too much about graphics but wow I had a hard time believing this came out in 2019! Gameplay couldnt be any better and buildup is paced tremendously. To say Im satisfied with this is an understatement: G E T T H I S G A M E !
Amazing game, I highly recommend getting this one especially if you are a fan of Resident Evil or horror games in general. The game works and runs great on PS4 Pro and looks absolutely breathtaking when played on a 4K HDR display. Apparently the base PS4 version looks good, but unfortunately doesn't run quite as smooth as the Pro version does. No matter which model of PS4 you own it's still worth buying in my opinion, just know that there are some differences in terms of performance between the base PS4 and pro models. As always though, if you want the best visuals and performance this game has to offer, then PC is the way to go. Resident Evil 2 is a remake of a game from 1998, but you won't be able to tell. Everything is completely redone and it looks amazing. The gameplay has been modernized completely. The adrenaline rush that the horror gives you is unparalleled in any other piece media I have consumed. Jump scares are not relied on. just buy it already you won't regret it, unless you can't handle the horror.
For those who don't know, this is a reboot on the classic 1998 PlayStation game. The story has had a complete overhaul. It still contains key elements from the original but better scripted. The graphics are powered by Capcom's RE Engine which was used for RE7 BIOHAZARD. RE2 plays over the shoulder ( like GEARS OF WAR and RE4 ) and you play Leon Kennedy who is a rookie cop and Claire Redfield the young sister of Chris Redfield, the hero of the original game. For those who played the original, you won't be disappointed and for those who never played it before won't be disappointed either. There is DLC available for costumes and weapons. The praise is truly deserved for this title and is worthy of any RE or survival horror fans attention.
