Wow. Chucked this seasoning on some sweet potatoes and flung them in the air fryer. Wow. My house smells amazing and the food tastes even better. Lovely. Shame about the shaker getting so dirty though when you use it.

Its a great little product I received from Ocado to review. Was great seasoning to use on feta , salads, and even a nice chicken wing rub. Flavourful and aromatic. Only reason why we gave it 4 / 5 is the tin is not completely iser friendly as it leaves some crumbs for you to deal with on top as well as the sugar content. I dont think sugar was necessary as most Mediterranean seasoning do not use/need it. We prefer to use a bit of honey instead for recipes that need it, other than that, great product!

This was delicious on roasting joints, be it Chicken or beef. No additional seasoning required, including salt and pepper. If you are short of time and need a quick seasoning this works pretty well. Full of flavour and tasted good. Good to have in the cupboard.
This seasoning adds great flavor to any meal. It has a great mixture of spices. I added this to my potatoes before putting them inside the oven and they added an incredible smell to the meal. I have bought a few of the Cape branded seasonings and they all are great. : )
It is a complete seasoning which contains a nice balance of herbs but also salt, so be careful not to over season. Have used with chicken and potatoes both of which were very tasty. A generous squeeze of lemon combines well with the mix.

I cook perhaps 10 chicken breasts per week on a grill pan, so am always keen to find products like this. The first batch I applied a reasonable coating of the seasoning onto the meat (the same amount as if you were just applying mixed herbs or seasoning), along with some olive oil as suggested on the instructions. The salt overpowered everything. The second batch I intentionally very sparsely applied this seasoning, which was an improvement, but still way too salty to enjoy. Firstly, I love the little traditional looking tins! Will be useful to use when empty or easy to recycle if we have enough.The herb mix itself is balanced and adds to a meaty meal.Have seen others use on pizza, now I have to try that!
I?m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. The smell as soon as you open the tub is amazing and I couldn't wait to try it. I mixed some with a little oil and marinated mini chicken breasts in it - they turned out gorgeous. The tub is a good price too, so a nice alternative to my usual mixed herb homemade version. I have knocked off one star only because I realised a couple of hours after eating how salty it was. I was thirsty all night long after using the rub and when I read the label, I see that salt is over half the content! But still a wonderful taste and smell.
I used this rub to season potatoes and it gave a lovely fresh flavour. I think it would work just as well on meat which makes this a very versatile product. It contains a high portion of salt which is worth noting so you don't overseason your dish. I'm looking forward to trying other spices in the Cape range!
