An economy version of a European style planer/thicknesser this machine is a real space saver in the workshop. Featuring flip-up tables for conversion to thicknesser mode the tables have noise-dampening slots to help minimize noise while machining. A serrated steel infeed roller on the infeed side is standard along with urethane rollers. The European style alloy cutterhead guard allows you access to the timber when being planed while still using your push blocks for maximum safety. This will increase the efficiency of the machine and minimise dust and shavings that need to be collected after machining the timber has stopped. The 3-knife straight cutterhead features HSS knives that can be easily removed and sharpened. A spare pair of blades should always be on hand so that you can swap them out, sharpening the old blades and replacing them with your spare set. This reduces down time and increases your productivity. This overhand operation has also been called a "Buzzer" due to the noise made by straight knife machines. Many people refer to these machines where timber travels over the top of the cutter as Buzzers.
