This 14" bandsaw features cast alloy wheels and a 1.5HP powerful motor. The large 100mm dust port means this 14" bandsaw can be used with a workshop dust extractor without needing to reduce the hose size and air flow. The open stand allows for a dust extractor hose to run easily to this 14" bandsaw from any direction, whereas with a closed or cabinet stand, there may need to be more bends to get it to the dust port. Bends in hoses cause the air flow to be reduced, ideally dust hoses should remain as straight as possible for as far as possible. This increases the air flow between the machine and the dust extractor unit helping to provide the efficient transport of wood chips and shavings. This bandsaw comes into its own with its two speed feature, allowing you to cut wood using the high speed setting and non-ferrous metals when the machine is on the lower speed. Versatility of this sort is not often found in equipment like this so it is a nice feature to have. While the slot on this table does not have a standard 3/4" wide x 3/8" deep mitre slot, the table is quite large. This allows for good material support, therefore giving the user a safe place to work.
