I hate instructions that are 98% QR codes and almost NO ENGISH. Cardo also requires use of a smartphone with their App on it (which you access via a QR Code reader App on the phone!) to operate all but the most basic features on the Cardo unit via Bluetooth. I do not have a smartphone and my wife;s iphone wants to charge $7 per week for their App to read the QR Codes!! FUGEDDABOUT IT! Battery in the first unit would only last about 2 hours and unit was returned for a replacement. Glad I purchased from Amazon! No hassle quick replacement and the 2nd unit has a battery that lasts for more than 13 hours of riding with 25% of the charge remaining. I can only use the basic functions via manual buttions on the Cardo! It will not retain pairing with another rider using Cardo Edge after Off/On cycle. I have to wait a pair it everytime get together. Also gets a lot of pops/crackle noises when the other Cardo unit is well withiin advertised range limit. Occasionally has clear transmission and reception. HD speakers and volume is adequate for communication up to 80 mph in full coveate helmet.

Great entry level unit so far!

Bought this entry level model to replace the entry level Sena that came factory installed on my Sedici Strada helmet. The Sena's battery went dead within months, piece of junk! So Cardo will get a shot. So far I like the unit, it's only been a week.The locking mechanism that releases the unit from the mount seems secure. I like the raised buttons that help guide your fingers to operate the unit. Sounds quality seems good enough on the factory supplied speakers (i did not upgrade to the JBL's). Sound was clear on phone calls. I like the app which allows you to set volume levels for different things which makes it easier to hear your GPS navigation without having the music blasting in your ears when the GPS isn't talking. Great headsets with the essentials for rider/passenger

Bought the duo pack for myself and my wife as a passenger on Black Friday sale, mostly using it solo. Also the first headset I've used.Install was very clean and easy for our HJC i90 helmets (YMMV depending on helmet), no cutting or permanent modifications needed. Had both done in < 30 minutes.Pairing was simple to setup, and has worked on startup every time so far.Sound quality is excellent for the price, plenty loud enough even with earplugs at highway speeds. I appreciate the automatic volume increase as wind noise increases it does a good job of keeping volume feel the same relative to the conditions.Buttons are pretty easy to use with winter gloves, it feels like they could be made easier to find though. Money well spent.

Because of the price I was sceptical, but I figured I'd try it and return if it didn't work. My biggest concern was the helmet speakers and Bluetooth connectivity, but I was quite surprised everything worked really well! Connection to my iPhone and Carpuride W901 Pro was simple and the speakers were good. I ride with my shield up on my helmet almost 95% of the time and my biggest concern was the wind noise. I was very surprised at how well the speakers sounded at highway speeds. Bass could be better, but it wasn't bad at all. If you are looking for Bose surround sound quality, you just aren't going to get that out of these speakers, but it is still MUCH better than I expected. Really cool little unit that I'm glad I bought!
