After a year of wearing these 4 times a week my husband finally wore a hole in them. The material is stretchy and much comfier for daily wear than the duck bib but not as durable. Still a great pair of pants. Really wish they'd add more colors like black or even green. I'd buy them all for him! I agree with other review that they fit slimmer than the duck style but they have more give in the material. He wears the same size 42x34 in both but can also fit the 44 just fine

Duluth has implemented this design very effectively The elastic material used on the Carhardt overalls is too thing, apparently and they keep becoming unadjusted fast the slides slide down. When they' slid down all the way, they interfere with the fastening and unfastening of the suspenders. They are a hassle to re-adjust if you're already wearing the overalls.I can't really conceive of any reason that Carhardtt would skimp on poker or suspender materials but that's happened with these overalls' I hope they fix these shortcoming one day. I'd love to have a pair of these for every day of the week, if only they were reliably functional

Finally a pair of overalls I can wear all seasons farming. I've always loved how utilitarian overalls are, but boy do they get hot ever since I moved to South Florida. Unfortunately I put them aside for many years.After finding these I couldn't be happier! Yes, maybe they could be a little lighter but I'll happily wear these majority of the year. I have another pair from a different company that is more lightweight…. But Carhartt has all the right pockets! No unnecessary pockets that carry extra weight. After only wearing mine twice around the house - hadn't even washed them yet - the stitching started coming apart in several spots. I reached out to Carhartt and explained the situation. They emailed back, asking for several pics of the overalls, so they could make a determination. I emailed the pics back and I thought surely Carhartt will stand behind their product and replace them. Nope. They responded back and said I would now need to mail my overalls in to them for review. While I love my hoodies and beanies from Carhartt, I don't have the same love for their overalls - especially when I pay this much and am forced to jump through multiple hoops to prove their poor stitching. These would be amazing if they only had one or two minor adjustments: The crotch should be dropped just 1 or 2 inches (right now there is some minor frontal and rear wedgie action), and the tapering below the knee should extend out an inch (it's just a little too slim compared to my other Carhartt pieces). Otherwise this is a shockingly cool pair of overalls. I got the cream color and receive compliments all the time. The clasps on the front bib are secure and streamlined.
Great, but pricey considering the are made in communist, Russian ally, Dominican Republic? A country that openly hates America. Probably 100% markup - but they are the best bibs I have used, Can't talk about durability yet but all my Carhartt stuff is riddled with holes because I use it hard, acid, solder burns. They are lightweight, good looking, legs could be smaller, still a bit big. This is isn't the 80's anymore. I recommend sizing UP. Don't try and be sexy - these are for working comfortably.
The number one thing I love is they fit like a regular pair of jeans! The legs aren't ridiculously wide! I get it... in the past you'd order overalls a size up so you could pull them over existing clothes, often while you were still wearing your boots. So the legs had to be uberwide. These are meant to be worn as jeans. So order your normal size, put them on, and then put your boots on! Just like you learned in 1st grade.There are PLENTY of pockets that can hold anything you want, including your smartphone. The fit is true to size. I read a review by someone who had purchased this set in both colors. They'd remarked that while the the khaki ones were completely fine, the gravel ones had slippery shoulder straps, meaning that they wouldn't stay at the intended tightness. They'd constantly be loosening, having to be readjusted. I figured it was probably not a recurring issue and bought the gravel set. I can confirm that the straps continually self loosen. Fortunately for me, I have disproportionately long legs and so it's fine if I just tighten the straps all the way past the elastic, pulling the actual canvas through the clasp. I don't think this is intended, but it works for me. Other than that, I love these.
