Comfort and durability at a great price

I bought these as 2nds, and there is an obvious spot about the size of dime adjacent to the bottom of the fly where there is a weird blob of stitching. Functionally, these pants are great, and my shirt tails can cover the flaw. These pants a lightweight, soft and extremely comfortable...it almost feels like wearing pajamas. They do tend to wrinkle quickly, but being work pants...who cares.

These pants are not the quality they used to be.. I work construction and buy pants that need to be durable as well as comfortable, to be able to put up with the every day wear and tear.I bought 5 pair for each day of the Monday-Friday work week, so I'm not wearing the same pants over and over. I wash them properly so they don't shrink or dry out.Well, these pants disappointed me. They are flexible and comfortable, but they have been tearing VERY easily and I've only had them for THREE months.I have bought these pants in the past, worn them for much longer and they didn't tear, they actually just got too small which lead me to buying new pairs.I am very disappointed and feel as though I have wasted my money. Not worth it, Carhartt.

End all mechanic pants!!!

I have used the double knee rugged flex pants for yrs now loved them from day one. The knee pads work great in them but does need modified for short people. I added Velcro to the inside to hold knee pads up in place no issues since and life saver for long days on your knees. I also live in the rugged flex short version on these paints all summer. Loved them from day one as well. Always wanted them in a paints version because the pocket are great for holding wrench’s screwdriver picks pliers you name it quick easy access for switching out tools. I’m still in the same shorts and paints from 2 or three yrs ago now. So they last. They do shrink up a little in the wash but do stretch back out as the day goes on. I just got these new style pants with the great pockets and I’m thrilled with them. Fit is true to size I’m 5’7” 190lbs and order 36x30 fits me great lil long but normal for my height with all pants. Good room to move around having thicker legs and bubble butt. I do wear a belt always with them. And the color fad does slowly happen with each wash but to me just adds to the style and looks better. In the future I would love to see these same pants with double knees fronts with small strips of Velcro inside them to hold the knee pads in place. That there would be the best pants prolly ever made and all people of all trades would thank Carhartt for it. That there would truly be the end all work pants. And like always I live in these pants everyday work or play only thing I wear. Great stuff once again but always looking to improve

Good Work pants
29 May 2024

Overall a really good pair of work pants. I like how comfortable they are and how breathable they feel. The only thing I wouldn't mind seeing different is a little more durability. I do like the pants being able to stretch a little bit but my clothes can sometimes go through tuff conditions. It would be just a little more comforting to have a some more toughness

Great within the first 6 months.

The Carhartt Rugged Flex Rigby Cargos are great for the first six months. If that. I’d like to preface by saying I work in a trade that doesn’t necessarily require a lot of crawling/kneeling or squatting. However, I still managed to stretch and tear out the inner thigh from squatting. I was expecting some better quality when it comes to carhartt and the amount of money carhartt charges for said pants. But these pants didn’t even last a year before they tore. They also seemed to fade and shrink within 3 weeks of washing. I wash warm and air dry.I then tried to send them back to carhartt to get repaired (they offer this free service) and got the classic company run around when I tried to get it done. Eventually they got to the facility, got sent back because they ... MoreThe Carhartt Rugged Flex Rigby Cargos are great for the first six months. If that. Then offered me a discount code for 15 percent off a new pair of pants that didn’t even work.I recommend people stop paying premium prices for poor quality.

Love the fit but these run really short
21 April 2021

I purchased these excellent jeans because I needed some garden-work suitable denim (instead of all my pairs of fashion jeggings) and these were very well-reviewed. I REALLY like them- they are sturdy yet comfortable, amazing functional pockets, and the fit is perfectly true-to-size as far as number (I used the "find your fit" tool on the website and it was accurate for me) and very flattering. My only quibble is that they do run very short- I noticed this in reviews of this pair specifically and of Carhartt's women's jeans generally. I tried to head this off by ordering a tall size. For context, I am 5'6" and I have never before worn a "tall" sized anything in my life, but these "tall" jeans fit me perfectly (even in flat shoes- I hope that's obvious since these are ... MoreI purchased these excellent jeans because I needed some garden-work suitable denim (instead of all my pairs of fashion jeggings) and these were very well-reviewed. I think a "regular" in my size would look like flood pants.Other than that one sizing issue, these are great jeans and I look forward to wearing them more and enjoying the delightful array of functional pockets!

Pockets should be much deeper !
7 February 2024

Absolutely awesome pants in every way but one, the fit is superb, the build quality is amazing, 7 belt loops, the one thing that is 100% useless are the front pockets. They aren't anywhere near deep enough. Everything I put in them including truck keys and a front pocket wallet falls out when sitting. They should be at least 3-4" deeper. Shame they're not, they would be perfect if the pockets were much deeper. Guys put a lot of stuff in pockets.

Really upset that these jeans are being discontinued. They are the best work jeans I have ever owned.
3 April 2022

These jeans are fantastic. I have an hourglass shape body with a lot of muscle on on my legs and these fit me like I sewed them myself using my dress form. Not only do they fit perfectly they are the first pair of Women's Carhartt pants I have had that are just as tough as the mens, I have a farm and I am around fencing all day, most pants get destroyed quickly by fencing or getting on and off the tractor, these hold up. I have pairs of these I have worn for 18 months and even though they are faded they are still in service. Usually if I do snag a fence its with the front of my legs and the few snags I have didn't go through the top layer of the denim on the double front. PLEASE KEEP MAKING THESE. Your denim selection is now pathetic with just two jeans left after ... MoreThese jeans are fantastic. Carhartt needs to quit trying to be a lifestyle/fashion brand for Woman and actually make WORK CLOTHES that WORK for us. If people want fashion they can head on over to Carhartt WIP and live it up.

Top flap doesn’t cover cargo pouch and shrunk so much they don’t fit.
22 December 2021

After many years of wearing Carhart clothing, these pants don’t cut it. Cargo pants used to carry electrical items (phone, portable dac, etc., but they need to be protected. Look at frontal view and you’ll see the top flap is actually behind the cargo pouch opening (see my photo in their gallery). I missed it online and thought the two pair ordered were defects. This allows an wood chips from circular saws and chain saws can get into. And if outside in the rain, things can get wet. After many items from Carhartt, when these arrived I just tried on one pair for fit and put them in the washer, or I would have returned them with the misplaced cover - it even looks like it’s sewn on wrong. But I worn them when debris or rain wasn’t a concern. Now after about three ... MoreAfter many years of wearing Carhart clothing, these pants don’t cut it. Other Carhartt pants of different fabric washed many dozen of times still fit. Too many issues.
