CARPRO PERL Waterbased Silicon Oxide Coat 1 Litre

This is probably one of the best dressings out there. It can be used on tyres, exterior and interior plastics and rubber. I use it neat on tyres but you can mix it with water at different ratios for different surfaces. It looks fantastic on tyres. Darkens them up and gives them a lovely matt sheen. Gives plastic trim a darker newer look. Buffs on and off with ease.

This is my go to tyre and plastic dressing. I’ve used it for years. I dilute it 1 to 1 for tyres, 3 to 1 for external plastics and 5 to 1 for interior plastics although it’s personal choice and I’m sure it’s not essential to get the right dilutions. You’re not going to damage anything with the wrong dilutions put it that way. If you like a gloss wet look for your tyres then apply the product quite thickly and leave it. Don’t wipe excess away for at least 20 minutes particularly in the colder months. The product will eventually go from white to clear without the need to wipe with a cloth. If you like a Matt look then leave it for 5 minutes and then wipe excess off with a dry microfibre cloth. I like to apply the product with an old detailing brush, working it into all the nooks but a foam applicator will be fine to. It darkens up plastic really well. Avoid the steering wheel unless you’ve used a weak dilution and definitely avoid leather seats as I used it once and it looked fantastic but it made the seats like an ice rink. In summary it’s a superb product which probably lasts a month on tyres depending on weather although I always re apply on every weekly maintenance wash anyway.

Excellent Product! First purchased this product from a Detailer. Thought the product did an excellent job on the interior of my Mercedes SL 550.Its UV rays protection prevents damage and fading to my leather seats in the convertible too. I also use it on my leather furniture in the house as well. Best product I’ve used!

Clean Tires first!
10 July 2023

I purchased and used this product for the 1st time. I dressed two cars/2 sets of tires. The 1st car, I cleaned the tires with Mineral Spirits (after using Black Magic forever) and applied Perl. It came out beautifully. I was very impressed with the results. The 2nd car I simply washed the tires with my normal wash and applied Perl (after using Black Magic forever) without prepping tires and the results were less than impressive. My suggestion is to clean the tires of any prior tire dressing before applying Perl. I loved the results (when applied properly)

Extremely Versatile and Perfect Finishing Touch
12 May 2023

Perl is a great product, especially for external trim and plastics. I washed a buddy's car that was absolutely soiled, and he was grateful but not amazed, partially because his paint didn't show the level of dirt. That is until I put Perl on his trims and plastics. It really revives the car, and to an average driver, is the icing on the cake that stands out the most after a detailing job. He said it looked like he just drove it off the lot! His plastics were faded and graying so bringing back a deep black shine stood out. I have yet to use Perl on the interior, but buying a few dilute bottles for its various applications will be well worth it in the long run. I highly recommend this product!

So far I’ve used Perl on my dash, leather seats, exterior trim and my tonneau cover, I was using 303 on all of the items listed. On the tonneau cover 303 seamed to fade real quick, even after only 1 or 2 days. The tonneau manufacturer had recommends using 303. However Itook a chance with Perl and was very impressed. My tonneau never looked better, even after rain. I think that I applied the 303 2-3 weeks ago and the dark color started fading in 1 to two days. Perl looks better than when the cover was brand new. I’m starting to love this stuff.

Protect with shine

This is my second purchase of Thai product. It’s all purpose dressing/ coating for interior/ exterior plastic and vinyl as well as engine bay conditioning. I have also been applying it on my tires and works like jam on bread. Just make sure to dilute it as recommended for better use. I try to dilute it more than recommended for internal coating.

On the surface it may seem like a lot but realize this product a) can be used on a wide variety of surfaces without sacrificing quality and b) can be (and IMO, must be) diluted, so a 1L bottle will last the average person quite a while.TIRES: cut with water 1:1 and looks great. Not too shiny, but if you want shiny you can layer it. Very versatile, and lasts as long as anything out there. 4 to maybe 6 weeks if you park indoors. I would use this dilution for trim as well, really anything on the exterior of the vehicle. makes running boards and mirror housings look great.INTERIOR: cut 1:6 (that's what I use, you might even be able to go thinner) and not only will your dash and interior panels look great without being too glossy, they also (in my experience) tend to ... MoreOn the surface it may seem like a lot but realize this product a) can be used on a wide variety of surfaces without sacrificing quality and b) can be (and IMO, must be) diluted, so a 1L bottle will last the average person quite a while.TIRES: cut with water 1:1 and looks great. Seems like a lot for 1L but it goes a LONG way.

Very versatile product

the beauty of perl is that it can be diluted to your liking. you don't need to follow the ratios to a T.i use this for tires, plastic trims, leather, and other interior pieces. I like ot keep it concentrated for the tires.. and dilute it lighter for the interior. it did leave my leather seats a bit grippy and the steering wheel .. so u do notice some protective product on your surfaces.

Very versatile!

Very versatile product! I tested it on virtually every plastic or rubber surface on my car and was happy with the results. What i noticed though is that surface preparation is the key for Perl to work at its best on each surface. You can not get away with cutting any corners where you may have in the past using other products. I used on all surfaces following recommended dilution ratios...Interior 1:5 - It performed well on the plastic and vinyl interior surfaces of my car BUT only after proper preparation with an APC that was levelled down and properly dry beforehand. I noticed Perl required some time to level down though. Exterior plastics 1:1 - Perl was absolutely fantastic on the vast acres of exterior plastics on my suv. I noticed Perl required some time to level down though. Exterior plastics 1:1 - Perl was absolutely fantastic on the vast acres of exterior plastics on my suv. Applied with an applicator pad and buffed dry with a cloth, it was easy and forgiving to apply, regardless of how much or how little i had sprayed into the applicator pad. Tyre shine 1:1 - As a tyre dressing i found 1:1 to be runny and required a good 30-40 seconds to level it down and then the end result was not dark enough for my liking. It was a very low sheen, barely any darker than a dry/undressed tyre. Instructions call to repeat this process after 20 minutes for a darker sheen but i see this as a waste of time and product on a process that usually only takes less than 30 seconds per wheel. Next time i will try Perl neat (straight from bottle undiluted) as a tyre shine. If cost saving is what is important to you, as is the case with any professional detailer, then i highly recommend Perl. It kills at least four birds with one stone, where i used to use a specific product for a specific task, Perl takes care of it all when diluted correctly. I recommend to be patient and experiment with different ratios and methods, this is a fantastic product and amazing value!
