Native to South Africa, the fragrant geranium is distinguished from the common geranium by its strong perfume. Today, there are over 400 species of Pelargonium in the world, each has its own texture, colour and fragrance. Although Pelargonium are flowering plants, it is their leaves that reveal a variety of fragrances ranging from floral to spicy and aromatic. Invigorating, the geranium is known for its purifying action.
