Another Great Killzone Installment

I was really happy to see a 4th installment to the "Killzone" series on the PS4. I have been a fan of Killzone since its release back on the PS2 system. I really enjoyed "Shadowfall" I felt it was a great addition to the game franchise. I read some reviews that featured complaints that the game did not follow the all out action Killzone style. I found this not to be the case. The difference from this game between the others is the "stealth" concepts (you are a playing as a "Shadow Marshall" so there is more sneaking around & using gadgets) but there are plenty of cool weapons & good amounts high speed action. I also really enjoyed the soundtrack it was very industrial & dark. Overall "Shadowfall" was a super experience & I really enjoyed the riveting storyline. Me and my son loved playing Cars 2 on the Xbox 360 when I saw this game come out it looks similar to Cars 2 in the style of play. This one is very similar to Cars 2 with slightly better graphics. They have many of the same modes like Battle Race which is really fun. Also in the free play mode there are things to do like collecting items to unlock cars and entering different battle modes available right on the course. My son loves Pokemon and it is really hard to get him to play anything else but since getting Cars 3 he hasn't stopped playing it so I think it was a good purchase. The only thing that seems to be lacking are a few game modes that I miss from Cars 2 such as blow up the opponent's base and the battle arena mode where there were waves of enemies you had ... MoreMe and my son loved playing Cars 2 on the Xbox 360 when I saw this game come out it looks similar to Cars 2 in the style of play. Also there are far less cars to unlock Cars 2 probably had over 50 this one only has about 20 and I'm not familiar with the characters yet as the movie has not come out so hopefully they will have some DLC that adds maybe another 20 cars or so. My biggest gripe comes in the form of wishing this game had local area network where if you have two switch consoles and two copies of the game they could communicate like Mario Kart and you could play each other with your own screen instead of having to use split screen. I bought two copies just for that reason but was disappointed to find out that mode is not offered. The Nintendo switch is a console but it's also a handheld so they really need to include that mode because it's likely that a family will have more than one switch and we'll take it on the go like during road trips. Overall this is a really fun game for kids and adults. I think if you are a Car's fan or if you have kids that like Cars this game is just as fun as Mario Kart if not more fun.

Kids love it and so do I. Must have for anyone who loves the Cars series and racing games. Complete challenges and unlock racers and events/tracks as you go. Multiple player modes. Graphics are nice on the switch as well. Initially my kids saw this played on PS4 but I opted to buy them a switch instead. This game did not disappoint.

Fun Arcade Racer, Annoying Rubberbanding
19 January 2020

Would've rated higher, but the rubberbanding of the CPU was way too aggressive I felt. There was some noticeably low-res textures as well. I get that it's a Switch port, but better texture optimization would've been appreciated (at the very least make sure the starting line was high enough resolution so you wouldn't notice every time you began a race). The mechanics were solid. Not pushing any boundaries of arcade racers, but still satisfying to control nonetheless. It's marketed to young kids, but I suspect the rubberbanding would easily frustrate most. The default difficulty is quite challenging even for me and I've played dozens of arcade racers in the past. However, unlocks and progression is very forgiving. So long as you keep playing the game you will be ... MoreWould've rated higher, but the rubberbanding of the CPU was way too aggressive I felt. Overall worth checking out if you're a fan of arcade racing games. Just make sure you notch it down to easy difficulty if your youngins are playing.

Fun kid friendly racing game
22 February 2023

This is a fun, Disney themed racing game. It has various modes, including a racing mode and a battle mode, sort of like Mario Kart. It has characters and courses from the Cars 3 movie. My six year old is still getting used to the controls, but that may be because she doesn't play many video games. I would recommend this for anyone who wants a fun Disney Xbox game.

Good price. Younger child, Adult
15 June 2021

Good game for kids on Nintendo switch. The left and right controllers can work separately or in the handheld controller together. The button control is fairly simple. As you get farther in the game, you will learn to push more buttons to do tricks. Tricks will earn you points and a better score with this game. It has good graphics and shows scenes from the Cars 3 movie, which my son loves. My 7 yr old son who has always loved the Cars movies and toys, was thrilled with this game. It does involve some reading skills, but younger children can play this game too. It is also fun for adults as we learn the trick moves and you can race side by side on a split screen. It will be loved by all of the Cars movie enthusiasts!

Great game but just a little off
18 March 2023

Would be a 5 if the target audience was a bit older. My son absolutely loves the vouce acting and the characters but struggles with the mechanics. As an adult I had a blast with mechanics but quickly grow weary of the repetitive voice lines and cartoonishness. This is only amplified by the fact I had to put in around 20 hours of challenge hunting to unlock characters my son would never have been able to due to the high difficulty of completing the specific tasks.

Huge disappointment
26 August 2019

This game is sadly a huge disappointment and let me tell you why. Campaign mode doesn't really make any sense and the game can be misleading at times with no direction at all. The controls in the game are terrible in the fact that most of the game relies on the touchpad, which in my opinion the touchpad on the DualShock 4 is worthless and goes off on its own without even actually touching it, so yeah try to avoid this one at all costs. Plus trying to get online multiplayer the game wouldn't even let me get on. It would just give me an error screen saying that I wasn't allowed to go online. Not sure why. I have no problem getting online with other games but this one. This game is terrible. 1 star. Do not recommend.

Super Fun
24 November 2022

This game is great for all ages. My kids love earning the badges and characters as they go along. Once they get about 90% of the badges they start it over and collect them again. Has multiple dificulty levels so my youngest can play on easy most too! Great racing game.

balanceform scale
30 June 2018

I like this scale it is elegant and sleek and yet it is thin and less bulky than the dial scale I replaced it with. It is made of a thick glass that is sturdy and strong and it sits on a platform that has 4 nonskid pads that prevent it from sliding across the floor and scratching it. It has a luminous blue light that lights up so you can read the numbers of your weight in black digital numbers. It comes with 2 AAA batteries and the scale alerts you when the batteries are low or if the scale is overloaded. When you first get the scale you can calibrate it for accuracy it tells you what to do in the leaflet. It also has 3 units of measurments: pounds, kilograms, or stones. The scale itself weighs no more than 3-4 lbs and is the same weight as my dial scale was so ... MoreI like this scale it is elegant and sleek and yet it is thin and less bulky than the dial scale I replaced it with. When you first get the scale you can calibrate it for accuracy it tells you what to do in the leaflet. It also has 3 units of measurments: pounds, kilograms, or stones. The scale itself weighs no more than 3-4 lbs and is the same weight as my dial scale was so there is no difference when picking it up as far as weight. I like the blue light because I can actually see my weight number even in the dark. If I am in a low light area (and I wear glasses) it makes it easy to see the scale with or without the glasses on, where I could not see it before and had to use a flashlight to see the dial. This added weight too my results. I like to be accurate and the dial scale I found would give me different results depending on how level the floor was and that could very by 3-5 lbs. This scale does not register low weight I put my 9 lb dog on the scale and it would not register the weight. So then I put 6 barbell weights that weigh 12 1/2 lbs on it and it still would not light up until I pressed down it with my hand and then released it and the weights registered at 12.2 lbs. and stayed lit for 15 seconds before it turned off like it is programmed to do. This is a really nice adult scale it is not something I would put in a childs bathroom and I would let kids know not to jump on the scale to let them be informed that it is glass even though it is thick glass. Even though this scale is the same size as my standard dial scale it takes up less space because it is not bulky. This product is Balanced to be 100% accurate and is made by BalanceFrom and is 100% Guaranteed for satisfaction.
