This is a nice novelty toy that my 3 year old has enjoyed using to 'help me tidy up' and it's fairly sturdy in terms of design and structure. The advertised function of being able to actually pick some 'bits' up when the batteries are installed is again a nice idea but this was also not that impressive in reality. I was also slightly disappointed to find the batteries aren't included nor are they the usual AA or AAA that I already have in. Overall, it's an okay toy but I wouldn't say it's been an instant favourite in our house.

The Hetty toy vacuum cleaner was a great addition to my son's toy collection. From the minute we opened it he wanted to assemble all the parts and start hoovering. In order for the Hetty vacuum to make regular hoover sounds you do need quite a few large batteries (which are not included) but it makes all the difference. My son, who is 4 years old has played with it quite often and will go back to it. The only issue I had, and it might be how I'm attaching the hoover accessories, is that the additional tube that connects to the head of the hoover to the main tube keeps coming off. But it has not bothered my son or his enjoyment of the toy. Our Granddaughter loves our big Henry so decided to get her own Hetty. She absolutely loves it. Only criticism I have is the plastic is very brittle on the tube for the attachments. Will be interesting to see how long they last. Granddaughter is 18 months old and quite gentle whereas a 3 year old may be a bit heavy handed and it break easily.

This is a nice novelty toy that my 3 year old has enjoyed using to 'help me tidy up' and it's fairly sturdy in terms of design and structure. The ideal size for 2-5 year olds, a hit with my girls who were vacuuming straight away. They loved that it can pick up fluff and you can pull out the draw to see it! It won't pick up a grain of rice but will bits of loose fluff. It sounds realistic without being too loud and is very easy to turn on (needs C batteries). My girls weren't that interested in the two accessories, they preferred vacuuming. I have noticed the stick doesn't stay that well in its holder and the whole wand can come apart quite easily (a bit of glue might be the answer).
What a wonderful idea to have a tiny Hetty version. My daughter loves hers. It’s compact, but still a good size. My 6 year old is is tall for her age and she doesn’t struggle to use it, she merrily hoovers around the house.It’s a good design overall , however the hose is not so good, especially for younger children. It often gets twisted and tangled. My 6 year can rearrange it herself however my 3 year old nephew can not and he gets very frustrated.Hetty’s attachments all fit inside of her, which is handy if she needs to be tucked on a shelf or taken on holiday!!!The suction on Hetty is really quite amazing for a children’s toy, especially when the batteries are new! She really does hoover up dirt!
My 3 year old absolutely loves trundling around with this! Toy vacuum cleaner. It's so realistic, it has the same attachments as a real Henry/Hetty hoover and it even sucks up bits of fluff! A perfect noisy toy!

I love how this looks just like the adult version of the Hetty Hoover. It's very attractive to children and appears to be well made, yet not too heavy for them to pull around. It came well boxed in a handy sized package, but I've given 4 stars because there are several 'bits' inside which mirror the attachments that come with a normal hoover, yet I don't think children could really appreciate these for what they are and it only serves to end up with more parts to become lost or strewn around the living room!! It was a little fiddly to get into the battery compartment but I guess this is for safety reasons.
Children of all ages up to 9 years old have enjoyed playing with this hoover! It's a well made toy replica of the adult version and both boys and girls have enjoyed playing with it and hoovering. The hoover makes a soft humming noise and does pick up small bits of dirt!It's been essential to their role playing and encouraged them to clean at home! At a play date it proved the most popular toy!
