Good construction. Roomy enough for 2 big textbooks and a large expandable file and the zipper opens completely from the bottom on one sude to the bottom on the other side. Makes it easy to put the expandable file in and out without tearing the backpack. Didn't really need it for a laptop. But it would do well for that because it's well padded. Still looking for a briefcase back pack. Opens like a briefcase but carries like a backpack.
