Bought this as a back up watch for travel . Purchased at a sale price. Its better than iIexpected. It arrived promptly .It was well packaged and instructions were easy to understand . The lightweight band and watch is comfortable to wear . Not expensive but good Casio quality .

As always, Casio quality and features exceed what they charge. Phenomenal value. Good looking watch, excellent backlight and awesome "World Time" functionality. This AE1000 is the round version of the AE1200, the famous "Casio Royale". Highly recommend this watch!
Pretty from far but far from pretty. You will get what you pay for. Straps felt very thin and made of cheap plastic. Days were set to Spanish and English, nothing wrong with that but not my preference. Overall, good for a teen. In my opinion, not suitable for a male adult. Spend a bit more and get better quality.

The LCD is crisp and clear even if you look at it 1-2 meters away. The light is not that bad unlike its brother AE-1200WH (which I bought on Dec2016..hihi). It only has 1 orange LED which can brighted the digital clock in night time or in a dark area with an option to lit either 1sec or 3sec. Programming-wise, I can say it's easy, so long you know how to read ans understand the user manual. Battery-wise, with my old Casio, I did not have the chance of replacing battery since it was still working perfectly for years until I lost it.I can say it is durable amd reliable. Digital clock can be switched to different or preferred time zones but the Analog Display will stay to the set time on T-1(you can pre-set 4 time zones, mine is set to T1- SIN, T2-NYC, T3-LON & T4-PAR).Beeps & Alarms are audible enough to catch your attention. Hourly Beeps are helpful. You can also set up to 5 Alarms to beep once or recurring everyday. If you are in a meeting, the Mute function is also there not to distract you and others.Stopwatch and Countdown Timer is pretty easy to use too.All-in-all, its a cool wristwatch! I love it! Tremendous value, sale combined with Smart Money, wow! And very high quality, Casio, in my opinion, just about owns the digital watch market... Extreme precision, I set it with the Time.gov atomic clocks web site and left the hourly chime on. Is your T.V. show really starting on time? And I mean down to the second... You'll know with this one.
We purchased this for my son in early November and gave it to him at the end of December. Not long after he received it, he got a large scratch on it. Sure, you can blame him for the scratch, but I believe it is a terrible design. Our other son's watch has the clear plastic over the time recessed, making a scratch like this much less likely. Therefore, I say it is a poor design. I tried to take the watch back to Academy today, in the middle of January, but they would not take it back. I would like a replacement, preferably, one of a different design with the clear plastic over the numbers recessed.
I am not impressed with the overall quality of this Casio watch. I own several like it and this one isnt as it was described on the site. The numbers of time and date almost blend into the background. Don't count on the Luminous glow to light up the face bc it is a tiny light in the corner and doesn't stay lit except for 3 seconds. The band seems very cheap which makes me believe these arent truly casio watches at all but recreations of the brand or knock-off brand with a casio label. I intend on reaching out to Casio about this bc i havent ever seen them put a watch out with this low of quality. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this watch to anyone else.
