I think most people will be drawn to the CTS1000V for the vocal synthesis function. That's fun (although I've had issues setting up the Lyric Creator app that's needed to input your own lyrics) but I think this keyboard is also a great source of general workaday sounds too. Great pianos, electric pianos and organs, plus some very useable synth leads, pads and basses and a lot of interesting orchestral and ethnic instruments.The keyboard isn't weighted but feels pretty solid and good to play and the speaker system has a lot of volume and punch, without getting distorted.If you want a keyboard to have around the house for sketching ideas, or an auto accompaniment keyboard for the family to play around with, this is ideal.

Amazing keyboard for the money!

Sounds are great, cool features, very lightweight, nice keyboard action and even runs on batteries.CT-S500 might have been a better pick for me as I'm not all that impressed with the vocorder-like features. Not in any way a full featured workstation, but way better than it should be at this price.

This keyboard blows the competition out of the water, there is no comparison because it's the only one that can do vocals. It's very light, compact, can run on batteries, can be worn like a guitar, and with the AXi sound chip it has very realistic sounds. It makes a great addition to my rig I already have including Casio MZ-X500, Casio WK-6600, Roland AX edge keytar. I play them through the Roland KC-990 and KC-550 keyboard amps sound incredible. I will be adding the Casio Privia PX-560M to my collection soon. The CT-S1000V is a great keyboard for beginners or pro you won't be disappointed.

What can I say wow and it a Casio. I love the portability and the design. It aditinly beautiful to the eye not to say the sound that come out of it and pack of features to keep you happy. As far as the Con no keyboard is perfect just leave it at that. The are far more good things about this keyboard than not.
