There is only a sheet of instructions instead of a booklet. The instructions are pretty small print. However, there are plenty of tutorials and downloadable instructions on the internet.This is a very powerful calculator. It does about everything short of graphing. Worth the money.

When it comes to calculators, the name Casio is synonymous. I grew up with using Casio in school for my home and coursework. It has been a while since I have used a scientific calculator.After several options, I chose the Casio FX-115ESPLUS2 Scientific Calculator, Natural Textbook Display. This is a calculator that my oldest daughter will be using when the time comes for her to need an advanced tool for math. As of right now, I am using the Casio Calculator for budgeting and bills.The calculator its self comes with a cover that slides off to protect the device. The calculator is essentially the same size of my Galaxy 10+ phone to give a good representation of size.*****I did receive this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion.*****

I've always preferred Casio calculators over Texas Instruments, and now my kids do, too. We originally had one scientific calculator for my son, then my daughter "borrowed" it when she went into Algebra I. Needless to say, this is a replacement for my son as he heads into Trig. Both of my kids like the layout of the function keys and find it intuitive to use, and the white with gray/green is a refreshing change to the dark colors of the original.

I've had this calculator for the majority of my Engineering education. Its a great calculator for the price. Feels hollow and plasticy, but aside from this minor complaint, it works amazing for upper-level university courses, up until more complex stuff where a graphing or CAS calculator is better suited for the task. Complex math, equation solver, and easy input of difficult formulas. Other reviews mention fractions, but the S<=>D button solves this if you would rather see the decimal equivalent. 10/10 would reccomend.

This calculator is pretty amazing. It allows you to type in the formula as is and calculate the answer. As a student, this is awesome. From a teacher perspective, it could cause a student to avoid learning the steps for solving certain equations. Overall though, very handy to check my own work!

The natural textbook display is an improvement.However, some of the keys are oddly laid out and don't have the same functions as the old calculators. For example, to turn the calculator off you have to press Shift+AC rather than the on button. Pi is not a dedicated button, but is a Shift+10x button.The old calculators had a 10^3 button which was convenient for adding thousands. This has a 10^x button, so you would have to press 10^x then 3 to do the same function.Finally, the negative button is not the same as in the past. You have to enter negative first and then the number. On the old 90s calculators you could enter the number then the negative. According to the Casio International website, the FX-991EX has 552 functions and the Casio Europe website shows the FX-991DEX version as having 696 functions. All in all an great calculator for very little money with the nicest display I've seen yet on a solar powered calculator.
