Had one for a decade, until I lost it and had to buy another one. My favourite feature on this calculator is being able to see fractions as 'fractions' instead of some weird symbol unlike some other calculators I had the displeasure of using. It is easy to convert fractions to decimals and vice versa. This calculator uses AAA batteries so easy to replace, the only downside is that you will need tiny screwdriver to replace them. Still a great little investment, that I know will be useful for years to come. Definitely recommend this to a highschooler, university student, or anyone dealing with numbers or needing calculators. Honestly, every other calculator seems so much inferior compared to this one.

I purchased a number of calculator apps which were all terrible to use. I final gave in and went old school and purchased this calculator and the ease of this calculator makes my studies enjoyable again. Best decision I've made in a long time purchasing this calculator.
Nicely designed, reasonably priced calculator. Has all the functions students and many professionals need in a basic non-programmable calculator. Display is clear, keys are a good size, the slip-on hard case protects the keys and makes it easy to slip in a pocket, and best of all the internal battery is a single standard AAA sized user replaceable battery. It should run for around 2 years before the battery needs replacing, and this is done by removing 6 small screws on the back. I much prefer devices that use either AAA or AA batteries, rather than button cells or in-built rechargeables, as they are easy to purchase and replace.
Vast improvement over previous model. Better / friendlier interfacing with user, yet retains same key layout to earlier versions. More 'text-book' screen appearance make calculations easier to understand. Only wish manual was more comprehensive for non-school students.
As a school teacher the only time that I see buttons wear off on a calculator is when they are left in a pencil case or bag without the case on and are subject to repeated rubbing.Even the top math students don't have any noticeable wear on their heavily used calculators.
Ive had one of these for years, it is an excellent calculator, does all the engineering calls I need. As I've got used to this model, I decided to buy another one as a backup and in case they ever discontinued making This model, which I don't think they will, its too good. You won't be dissapointed, its an excellent model.
These calculators are used for most University maths courses and in secondary schools, so they're a bit pricey but not unreasonable. Personally, I didn't have much trouble with the keys wearing off thing, unless you keep them for several years and in that case, should buy a new one anyway. Usually buy my calculators from Officeworks while buying other supplies.
This calculator has lasted me for about 5 years with no sign of internal wear. It has the ability to do most calculations and is very good for high school and primary school level. But one negative is the numbers and signs on the keys can wear and come off. The price may be on the expensive side but is very worth your money.
