Get over your conformation bias, having spent ÂŁ599 on a plastic watch, and see it for what it is. No NFC, Google Pay does NOT work despite the global advertising claiming that it does. G-Shock Move phone app is so troublesome and slow to connect that itâs near useless. HRM keeps dropping out half way through workouts, making fitness/health monitoring double useless. No battery indication on dual layer LCD overlay screen, despite global advertising images implying that it does. No speaker, meaning no audio notifications or calls and an almost imperceptible vibration notification option. Just try finding a spare charge cable.

It took a whole day and hundreds of attempts to update. âOk googleâ doesnât work, raise wrist to wake screen doesnât work unless you dramatically wave your arm in the air first. Most apps donât work. Google search doesnât work. Canât down load music to listen with out carrying your phone around as well. Battery will only last a day if you donât use it for anything.This is a ÂŁ20 watch at best, DO NOT BUY IT!!!

I have and do own many G-Shocks and this was the first time I've felt let down by their products.It looks great and fits well but its awful to use, the sensors aren'tvery accurate and the battery will do 3 days at best. I had the previous version which was a much better watch but that only tracked running, hence the upgrade.I ended up selling both an buying a Garmin Fenix 6x pro. It's everything you want in a fitness watch and easy to use. If only G-Shock and Garmin did a collaboration

It's OK but if I could go back in time I would not have bought it. I find even the largest font too small for my late 50's eyes so need to be wearing reading glasses to use it. Operationally it never seems to do the same thing twice. G-Shock Move simply doesn't work. The missing button at the 7 o'clock position seems like a mis-design to me. The LCD (basic time display) is unreadable indoors, very poor. The strap feels cheap with a plastic buckle. Overall disappointed. No obvious availability of a spare charging cable to keep elsewhere. Maybe it's just me but I expected a better effort from Casio. Maybe they will release a new model digital Frogman and get back on track.
Really disappointed after owning 2 different g shocks, this for me personally Is not fit for purpose.., Absolutely does not help for the intended use, activities, weight workouts and Heart Rate...Battery is the worst Iâve had, would not last a day, display is poor as screen light turns down after 5 secs, this had to be set for best battery life but definitely des not help..Heart rate monitor very touch an go as it very easily loses contact for accurate and consistent readings.. returning for a full refund and place order for the solar G Shock
This is a great sports smart watch. I have been using the Samsung Galaxy watch for the last couple of years but I missed wearing a G-Shock. I ordered this as soon as it was released and I am really happy with the fit, look and feel of the watch. The fitness tracking is fantastic.The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the lack of NFC for Google Pay which is a function I loved and used a lot on the Galaxy Watch.
Been waiting for a tough smart watch for a while now so very happy G-SHOCK made this. Only disappointment is the battery life but I guess thatâs the price to pay for owning a smart watch. Letâs see how it copes over the next few months with work and adventures. Hopefully it will be as tough as my other G-SHOCK Mud-Master.
When is the GSW-H1000 gonna get Google Pay?Is it a hardware issue, lacking NFC chip? Lots of reviews complaining about the battery life, when not tracking fitness etc I have lost count at how many days at 100% as a simple watch, when tracking fitness with GPS on, itâs 1.5 days, pretty much the same as any other smart watch so I donât see the gripe there. My only gripe is it should have come with solar for the initial RRP, for the sale price I purchased for itâs priced far better, or should that be, itâs priced as it should have been in the first place.
Google pay doesnât work, google assistant doesnât work, most apps donât work, Spotify doesnât work, gshock activity app is worthless, canât connect Bluetooth headphones but then thereâs no app/facility to play music even if you could. You canât raise your wrist to wake the screen, you have to either tap it or shake your arm like a madman.Basically an all round cheaply made watch with the functionality of a ÂŁ20 Fitbit.
