I have cycling clothes, in particular shorts and bibshorts, from various brands but, when it comes to comfort, nothing comes close to Castelli. They are worth the extra dollars and this pair of shorts does not deviate from it. I have the equivalent bibshort and I wanted to test the regular short. While I usually prefer bibshort for long rides, I have been happily surprised by how comfortable and how well these shorts fit. Like all Castelli products, you need a size or two higher. A purchase that I am not regretting. In fact, I am so satisfied that I will likely order a few extras

This is my second pair of Bib short. The Wide bib straps are very comfortable. The great seat pad keep me comfortable for long-distance. Suggest you size up if you are between 2 sizes.

I ended up returning these because they were super low waisted, didnt love how it cut below my belly button. And same with the back, came quite low- there is mesh that comes higher but i would rather that be continuous material than mesh. Comfortable- yes… if you dont care about the low rise. And the padding is very thick and comfy on the bike. I am through and through a size medium normally. Waist is 29 in jeans, i found the size medium in these bibs were definitely too tight.
Solidly built shorts with lots of padding. The material is interesting - feels more like hiking short material than smooth lycra. Might look a bit less MAMIL (middle-aged man in lycra)!As others have mentioned - size up. I have a 29" waist and usually go small. I got a medium in these and wouldn't have wanted any smaller.
I like colour and was happy to find bib shorts in something other than black.The wide straps can be worn crossed over the chest or your back. The easy pitstop option means the jersey can stay on too. Great for long trips when toilet facilities many not be available.
The material is so soft and comfortable. The chamois stays in place and seems to be high quality, however I haven't worn it on any rides +3hrs but don't expect to have any issues. True to size, doesn't slide down and the chamois stays in place. Only issue is that I have muscular legs in comparison to my waist, I got a small but the legs dig in slightly, giving me sausage legs. However I have yet to find a bib that doesn't do that to me..Overall,.great.
This is a high quality short, but the material is quite substantial and could be too thick for everyday riding. It would work well in situations where abrasion is expected. The shorts are also on the longer side in the leg / inseam.
These bibs are made of top notch material, provide terrific support, and the shammy is of excellent quality. With all Castelli products, the sizing is special, so I went one size up and it fit will. I'm looking forward to many miles with these bibs.
Super comfortable Castelli top of the line chamois in an affordable short. The leg grippers are not as "rubbery" as higher priced Castelli's. However, the chamois is the same making this a great buy. With a waist of 30", according to the Castelli size charts, I take a small. However, medium fits perfect - so the size charts must be geared toward someone who is super skinny. Likely size up is a good idea.
