In Castelli’s cold-weather hierarchy, the Entrata Wind Bib Tight is well placed to protect you during deep winter riding in dry conditions. With a thermal rating mirroring the top-tier Nano Flex Pro 2 at 28-43 degrees F, the Entrata supports you to your best performances when the winter’s frigid grip is around every s-bend on your route. Lacking only Castelli’s RoS (rain or shine) designation, the Entrata protects from minor moisture events like rear-wheel road spray and light fog. However, the Entrata’s primary motivation is to block the wind. AirFlex Thermo fabric on the front of the bibs provides 100% windproofing against icy cold weather. At the same time, the thermal inner layer warms hard-working muscles during critical off-season base-miles and interval sets. On the rear is Castelli’s Nano-Flex 3G for added insulation and weather protection. Castelli maintains a supportive and minimal design for the Entrata with flat-lock seams, traditional calf-zip closures, and a reflective Castelli logo on the left thigh. Comfortable bib straps accommodate riding positons without pulling, and the Kiss Air2 chamois sits underneath for long-mile protection from saddle vibrations. Its dual-density foam uses variable thickness molding to give and take support in ideal areas for maximum comfort.

The fit is great and chamois is good as expected. However I am underwhelmed at the level of weather protection these tights offer as I am a big fan of the Perfetto ROS long sleeve jersey and I have a few. The tights seem good for harder sessions or when it's dry and 6-10C, but for me, when on a low intensity winter ride in the UK <5C they are not quite warm enough on the knee where there is a different fabric which is quite thin. On a recent ride at ~5C it rained and very quickly there was water ingress in the knee area which soon began to run down my legs into my shoes resulting in very cold feet. As soon as it rains even a little I can feel it on the knee area. I think the Wind version is probably what I'd require but from the Castelli website info I assumed these ... FWIW the bib tights I was replacing were from a premium UK brand which I had for 6 years and are superior in every way.Great service from Sigma as always.I am 62kg 178cma and size S fits great.

I purchased these bib tights as a replacement for my older Entrata bib tights from Castelli which were damaged after a little crash. I was very satisfied by my old Entrata, but this new model was way beyond my expectations, "nanotechnology water-repellent finish" is real thing, never have I been so well protected from the wind or "sprayed" by the passing cars. Extremely satisfied, recommend.Bonus: it's made in my own country, Ro.

I have worn Castelli winter tights previously. I had a pair of the entry level Velocissimo and have worn them to death over the last 5-6 winter seasons. It came time to upgrade and I found these RoS tights in the sale.I thought great, they come with the same air kiss 2 pad that is in the castelli aero bib shorts so it was a no brainer. When they arrived they felt great on the legs and the pad is firm and supportive. My main gripe is this, if you value the comfort of your family jewels don’t buy these tights it can incredibly frustrating. These castelli tights are designed and built with a flat panel on the front, with a seam stitched directly down the middle which increases tension in the central area of that panel. I am forever adjusting as my gentleman’s parts ... MoreI have worn Castelli winter tights previously. Sweet relief.I look forward to sticking these back in the cupboard and potentially swapping them come next winter.

Have never worn a Castelli bib before but needed something warmer for the winter (uk gravel) and these came well reviewed. The good: they’re pretty warm, first day I tried them was up to 8 (rather than the zero I bought them for) and I was pretty toasty to say the least. The leg zips are nice and easy to open. The bad: the sizing! I’m 79kg and Chest and waist makes me a large, but even just at 6’2” it recommends xxl or bigger for my inner leg. I tried xl and xxl and was inbetween. The xxl is all baggy around the middle and legs but the straps are nice and comfy. The xl is better on the legs but then the straps and crotch are bit tightI went xl in the end and regretting it a bit. Time will tell - if they stretch a bit after washing and use I’ll be happy. If ... If they shrink they’ll be useless.Other bad is the stitching around the pad is uncomfortable, I can feel it rubbing on the saddle. Never had that with any other bib or shorts. The pad isn’t great either. All in all quite expensive for what they are but aren’t all branded cycle clothing……
Excellent build and construction. The chamois is superb. I however find these tights suitable for the 45-55 F temps. I took my first ride in 38-40 F and my legs were a bit chilly. My last pair of Sorpasso was from over 10 years ago and I feel those tights were better at blocking wind and warmth. They also seem a bit thicker. I'll keep them because they will be useful, just not tights I'll wear when it's close to freezing. Interestingly, many reviewers liked them in the colder temps. I guess I'm just getting old.
These have amazing wind protection and thick fleece on the front but seem to be engineered to allow all the heat you generate out the back. No warmth seems to be trapped. This is the same design on the product just below this one that doesn't have the wind stopping material but those are much thinner and seem to have no reason for existing at all.I've never been so uncomfortable on a ride as with these. They are nicely made, and fit great in a M for me. Nice materials, just the wrong material on the back.I've got a two pairs, now, of the Nano Flex Pro bib shorts because they are warm and really nice but hard to come by because they actually work if you want to be warm. I'd like to get a set of them in bib tights but they're gone.CS doesn't seem to be ... I had been using my running tights over my bibs for the past few years not wanting to spend the money on a bib/tight. Should have bought these a long time ago. They are so much more comfortable then the running tights (they always are falling down). This are also much warmer then a regular tight and the chamois is very comfortable. The straps are a bit tight ( think I bought the wrong size) but they don't dig in or anything and I have already down a 3 hour ride and they feel amazing. I bought the Large and probably should have gone for XL5" 10'175lbs32 inch waist32 inch inseam42 inch chest
Granted, it does not get freezing in coastal Texas, but 30s-40s after 100+ temps all summer feel pretty chilly. In these temps, these do great. Riding through mist and drizzling rain, I have remained completely dry from the DWR coating. The water just beads up on the surface. No heavy downpours yet, so can't comment on that. Warmth is enough that starting out at 36F was no issue and after warming up to 52F the tights were not roasting me. I do miss the pockets of my Unlimited bibs, but for what these are, they are comfortable, and the chamois is good. The zippered legs making donning and doffing easy as can be.Sizing - I ride a L in the Unlimited Bib, but ordered an XL for these tights (6'0", 184lbs, 34" waist, 32: inseam) and that size is perfect.
The chamois in these is by far my favorite ever.I'm trying to only wear this chamois so I ordered these bib tights not in any way suspecting that they're not really made for the cold, but they're not.Hard to envision why this product even exists. These are really thin with just a whisper of fleece on the inside. In NorCal we're riding 33 to 43 in the mornings right now. I would say these are good from like 48 to 52 for which I have many options. Again, what's the point of these?I always want to like Castelli but it's like they have a team of designers who make a product and they're not allowed to talk with each other through the process.I own Castelli bibs that are size small, they're a bit small (straps too tight and tight in the waist and groin), but I ... Regular bibs in medium won't stay down on my legs. It's like they can't resists over-designing things or just taking on points of use/benefit with total nonsense. I own the bib shorts that go under MTB shorts and the storage pockets (3 of them) are about big enough for tube of lipstick. Why? I would like to use those pockets. Please Castelli, just do things that make sense and are easy to use, and conform to your sizing charts.
I actually like this bib for cold socal morning rides. The fit chart is accurate and the zipper makes them easier to use. However, my old kit from Castelli had the zippers on the side. I never had a problem with them. This design puts the zippers right on you Achilles tendon. Unfortunately, this lead to blisters where the zipper pull rests. Im going to kit up with socks inside the kit and will adjust the height by pulling them higher. If you have a side zipper option or stirrup option, Im interested in trying that. Respectfully, John M. Benton
