I have had a few Castelli items in the past and have been pleased with the quality. The Gabba jersey is no different. Really comfortable and not restrictive considering water resistance and thermal insulation. Good mix of materials keeps you warm and stops the wind getting through but prevents overheating. Fantastic jersey. I need a long sleeve one now too..... As usual with Castelli, you need to buy a good couple of sizes larger. I'm about 43" chest and XXXL fits perfectly.

Living by the coast, I'be had ample opportunities to try out the "rain" aspect of this Rain or Shine jersey. It is essentially a short-sleeve jersey that's made out of gore tex. It's pretty lightweight to wear, very comfortable, and of course keeps me warm and dry. I partnered the jersey with some Castelli Nanoflex arm-warmers, and I was set.In milder spring weather there would be no call for the arm-warmers, but I think in hot weather, this may be a tad much.There are 2 large pockets at the back so you can pack a rain cover if it looks like it will pour down, along with other bits and bobs.Riding in Britain, you will certainly get your money's worth.

I bought the Gabba jersey with the Dirty Reiver in mind, anticipating a mix of weather conditions over a long day in the saddle - turned out to be 11 hours of riding, a damp, misty start giving way to a warm breezy afternoon. The jersey was great throughout. I'd recommend it for all Spring or Autumn conditions, and even for even milder, winter rides, with arm warmers and a shell, just in case. Fit is snug, as usual with Castelli. There are cheaper jerseys around, but this one is hard to beat for quality and versatility.

Got to replace my Perfetto convertible jacket as do own Alpha light jacket. I have been looking at Gabba longer time as I need some water repelent jacket for cooler time. Very good jacket but one thing I am not sure about is the longer back flap which is rolling up always. This can be my body shape fault as I did not seen many complaints on this.
Before purchasing I was reading a few reviews, as you do, and a few have mentions sizing is too small and advise going size up. I am size S in everything in Castelli, but went again for size S...Spot on, fits perfectly! Jersey keeps me warm and yellow color keeps me visible on the road. Perfect!
Fit really on the small side. At least 1 size smaller than others. With the correct size it is still tailored to slimmer fit and does ride up a bit while riding.Sizing aside the technical fabric is rather nice and keeps wind and weather out. On mixed rides (rain and direct sun shine) it copes ok, but still feels sweaty.Overall a good product, but without rain a merino sport wool jersey is still superior.
I know they aren't the most affordable of jackets, but wow!Only wish that I had bought one a long time ago.Do beware though of the product photography as my Pro Red jacket is distinctly burgundy in colour. Working in the creative industry, I'm sure the images could be bit closer to real life :-(That said, it is a fantastic bit of kit to wear and certainly one to have ready for riding in the spring/autumn time.
Great Jacket, I've worn it with a baselayer &Thermoflex armwarmers in just a few degrees. Good sleeve length. Shrugs off rain showers, and the orange colour really pops! Definitely size up , it's a snug fit !
I love Gabbas-this is my third after wearing out my others. It keeps you warm when it’s quite cool but it’s not suitable for very cold days but nonetheless it’s flexible and will be useful across a wide range of temperatures. The moderate waterproof-ness is good but the windoroof nature of the fabric is the best as I perspire a lot so it allows me to keep warm where other jerseys fail.
What has taken me so long to get a Gabba! Fantastic jersey, the orange isn’t too in your face unlike some brands, enough to help you be seen more. So far been out in persistent light rain commuting home and early morning 5 degrees start. Each time with just a base layer. May be a bit more expensive than some but worth it for a comfortable, warm and reasonably dry ride on a cold wet commute or weekend ride
