The Castelli Perfetto RoS Light short sleeve is a durable cycling jersey that withstands the elements that keep many off the bike: wind, cool weather and light rain. The Gore-Tex Infinium 203 Stretch with improved DWR coating is lightweight and does an excellent job of blocking wind and keeping air moisture out. The stretch woven rear panel with Nano Flex water repellent nish has even better water repellency: rain drops just roll off the jersey. It also has lower air permeability which means that while the jersey is more windproof it also has superb breathability. No racer wearing the Perfetto will be slowed down by a sweaty back. The Gabba-style dropped tail protects from road spray and keeps the area between shorts and jersey sealed. If you need a little cooling off, the YKK Vislon zipper opens easily. The two pockets are made larger, so they are easier to access when wearing winter gloves. Included with the pockets is an inner sleeve to securely hold a bike pump. A large, black reective panel across the entire lower back panel provides extra visibility on early morning, overcast or rainy training rides.

Great jersey, named Perfetto for a reason. Comfy, wind-blocking, water repellent and breathable. High collar to protect the neck with smooth lining. Long back and solid deep pockets. A great fit - it's tight with no pieces flapping around yet not restrictive. If it had a zipper on one of the pockets to calm my paranoia about losing the phone on the ride, it would be absolutely perfect.Fit is true to the manufacturer sizing table.

The is the second Castelli Perfetto short sleeved jersey I have purchased in the past several months as I liked the first one so much. This one I purchased was the florescent yellow in large(not sure when the Jenson website is showing saville blue in xx large). The high visibility of the yellow is great.I have up until recently been mainly a purchaser of Pearl Izumi gear, normally I would go for a medium in PI but based on lots of recommendations I sized up to a large in Castelli and this was definitely the right decision. The wind blocking of the front of the jersey works great as I live in an area prone to cooler sea breezes even when the sun is shining. I have used this jersey up into the high 60'sF and so far down into the low 50'sF and combined with arm ... MoreThe is the second Castelli Perfetto short sleeved jersey I have purchased in the past several months as I liked the first one so much. I also like the higher collar on this jersey for improved protection of the neck. This version of the Perfetto has 2 rear pockets, I would have preferred three but as is they work fine. All in all these Perfetto jerseys have converted me to a Castelli fan.

The Perfetto light jersey has served me so well through winter day and night rides (temperature ranges 0 to 20 degrees, with appropriate base layer) that I decided to buy a second one. I find it perfect for 2 to 4 hour rides, and even worn it on a 200Km ride in February with warm sunny weather and I never felt any discomfort. I have a 106cm chest, for which the 2XL size is just about right. The fabric and colours look great (I have the yellow fluo and red versions) and the feel of it against one's skin is very smooth. Because of its great versatility, I would highly recommend it, as it can be worn for the most part of the year with an appropriate base layer and arm warmers.

Very versatile garment. I already have a Perfetto long sleeve jacket so was looking for something similar but light weight and this does the job perfectly. It’s thinner but still reasonably warm over a jersey, particularly on the shoulders when a gillet isn’t enough, with the same breathability and water repellent qualities. It rolls up small enough for a jersey pocket too. It’s quite stretchy fabric - I bought a small for aero fit over only one or two thin layers even though I normally go for medium in Castelli and it’s a good tight fit. I use it with some Castelli seamless arm warmers when needed which are also very light and packable. Usual efficient Sigma delivery too.
Rode in 10-12C on wet roads completely dry and in thermal comfort (with Castelli arm warmers and adequate Bibs). Also checked in dry conditions at 15C was still good but above that have to stay unzipped. In terms of sizes - it is just as in Castelli size chart. I was between S and M and have chosen M (180cm, 71kg) which is a bit to loose for me. All those who are complaining about small sizes in Castelli - better loose some weight ;)
How many times do you need a weather proof short sleeve? If it's grim, proper waterproof jacket. If it's warm and might shower, normal short jersey and gillet or rain cape in the pocket. Yet for those cooler mornings when you can get a short base layer underneath, perhaps arm warmers, and there is a chance of rain its ideal - but ride all day and the sun comes up - it's gonna be sweaty in there and, unlike a gillet, you cant take it off. A very good top albeit for a fairly slim range of conditions IMHO. (I am 173/78 and XL is a good snug race fit.)
Wore the Perfetto RoS Light S/S jersey over a thin, L/S base layer for the 2021 Dragon ride in late September. Early start, late finish, and always likely to face a mixed bag of weather including rain (plenty but never really heavy) and a wide temperature range (c.8-15c) during a long ride (c.132 miles, 3400m climbing) with some decent length, warming climbs and cooling descents. It was perfect. Great wind protection and never sweaty. I did carry my Idro jacket and was grateful for it during heaviest rain - a more competitive cyclist, going at it harder and not using the feedstops as I did, may well have dispensed with this.On sizing, I’m just under 6’, 183kg, built more like a rugby player than pro cyclist with 44” chest, 35” waist. The XL is ideal. Actually seems a little tighter than my XL Gabba 3, but I prefer the Perfetto Light S/S and will get more use out of it as more versatile. (When the weather really is foul enough for the Gabba in the peloton, I’m wearing a jacket!) Sleeves a good length, tight and perfect for arm warmers. Finally, this jersey looks the business and makes even me look like a cyclist! My only quibble - I’d like a third pocket, and the pockets are modestly sized vs Gabba, so my phone had to go into my saddlebag with jacket and gels/bars rather stuffed into the jersey pockets.
Not used in heavy rain - but the Perfetto light keeps you wonderfully warm and dry when riding days are cool and damp or just Blustery. Fab piece of kit and ideal for mild British weather. Castelli top quality again! Fab price in the sale too. My only criticism is that the more breathable main back panel is black rather than the bright orange of the front- which makes the rider less visible to other road users. Would recommend. I like it so much I bought another in bright red.
I bought this a few weeks ago, and have worn it on days out when I'm not sure the weather is going to hold. It's been through showers and downpours, and honestly it leave you feeling completely comfortable. It also dries out quickly, but it isn't bulky when wet. The official sales pitch is about the zip being used to modify the temperature, but I've proved for myself this is no gimmick, it really is a brilliant way of letting in enough air to get you over the hills, and keeps the wind out superbly down the other side when zipped up to the neck.Brilliant, brilliant product. I want another!
Bought this for early Autumn rides and windy / light rain conditions. I think in general a good merino mid weight jersey can do a sterling job keeping the wind at bay, especially paired with a lightweight merino base layer, but the Perfetto will have an advantage over merino whenever the air is humid or the wind is particularly strong. It is bulkier than I expected, but my concerns over wicking properties were mostly unfounded. I would say this can be worn down to 6-7C paired with proper arm warmers, with just a thin base layer (if you ride in high tempo). Basically a jacket for the cool days from April to October (Southeast UK).
