The Castelli Squadra Stretch Woman’s Jacket is designed after the classic windproof and breathable cycling jacket. No waterproofing has been added to resemble the Idra 3 jacket which protects against wind and rain. The Squadra is simpler, but most definitely completely windproof. The coated ripstop nylon blocks wind and since it’s breathable, you won’t overheat. The Squadra pulls out body moisture and body heat to keep a woman cyclist comfortable. At around 100 grams in weight, it is incredibly lightweight. Tightly knit stretch panels and the high collar keep out drafts of wind. No material flaps around in the wind nor does cold air circulate into the jacket. The design creates a perfect fit no matter what position you hold on to the bike. Reflective details on chest and lower back increase visibility when the sun is low or covered by clouds. Easy to fold into a small package and store in your rear jersey pocket, you can slip out of the jacket when the sun rises, and you need less protection against chilly wind.
