GTX 20W-50 is the only high viscosity mineral oil with high zinc and high detergent qualities ideal for older low tolerance engines prone to sludging. It has fantastic anti-wear properties and maintains oil pressure under very high temperatures.I have found in reduces tappet/lifter noise in many engines I have used it in. My 3.9 Rover V8 has 459,000Km and has used this oil almost since new, it runs very smoothly and burns minimal oil. No sludge is visible on on the valve train either.

Perfect to change oil in my Lotus. Car had not started for 4 years so wanted to replace oil and build pressure on starter prior to firing engine.

Great oil for all my cars. I have been using Castrol 20W-50 oils for over 20 years. I would recommend this oil to anyone looking for a high quality oil without the high price.
I have been using this oil for many years. It is good for old engines it is top quality and does not break down in rarely used engines. It has a anti sludge additive and mixes well with mineral based anti wear additives that are often used in rebuilding old engines.
Did an oil change with penrite 20w60 as it stated it was an alternative to 20w50. My ute instantly ran like a pig and the idle was awful.Changed to Castrol 20w50 and the rough idle disappeared straight away and ute runs smooth again. Will keep using it.
