BMW use Castrol EDGE 5W-30 as the service fill at every service so I continued to use it when I started doing oil changes myself, Also I have used this oil since day one in my other 2 vehicles as well, why change if your engine loves it!!

One of the best oils available. Have used this oil on numerous different model cars over a number of years never a problem. Have taken tapper covers off engines to replace caskets and the motors look new no wear on cam sharft lobes well over 150,000klms

I noticed a big difference in noise/rattle after changing to Castrol edge. The car feels a lot smoother at idle. Highly recommended. I was a bit disappointed that i could have bought 2 x 5 litre's @ $37 something each instead of $99 for 10 litres (sale on couple of days after i made my purchase), but SCA gave me a $10 voucher without me making any contact with them. I thought this was a good gesture.

I reluctantly changed from the very expensive but very good Mobil 1 oil in my high performance LFX because the cost. I have now finished the second cycle and think that this Castrol Edge performs better at less than half the price. I am surprised and pleased.
I Have been using this oil in my wife's 2006 Berlina V6 for some time now. I normally change oil every 10K klms and am always surprised how good the old oil is, by that I mean that I am sure the oil would be good for a further 5K klms at least. This container also has a very handy tap which makes transfer a breeze. Fantastic when on special, I love this product and highly recommend.
Noticeable difference with this oil compared to the cheap stuff. If you are wasting money on additives as well as cheap oil then just get this stuff and forget about additives. Also use castrols online oil selecter, you will need a very specific grade for your vehicle (i.e. 5W30 A3/B4 isn't the same as 5W30 C5, using the wrong one can damage your car)
I ran this oil is my modified XR6 Turbo over many years and never had an issue, so when I bought my BMW M3 I continue to use it in the S55 Twin Turbo engine. The engine feels smoother and quieter with this oil than it with the BMW oil.I recommend this oil and will continue to use it
Personally have found Castrol Edge to be a great oil, have used on track and road, stacks up well against more expensive oils (e.g. Motul 300V), far superior to the likes of Mobil 1, which degrades quickly under stress (oil temps). Great protection and keeps engine clean (very little carbon build up)
Very high quality oil, suited to use with premium car manufacturers, like Jaguar, Mercedes and BMW. This fully synthetic oil will provide better protection for more km's than semi synthetic or standard oils. This 10 litre can, will provide between one to two oil changes for most vehicles.
A great oil, if a bit overpriced. My Hyundai turbo diesel's running beautifully, economically and pulling better too; especially in higher gears.
