We love playing Catan with the seafarers expansion and I already had the 5-6 extension for the original game but being able to play seafarers with more people is great! It's not to complicated for a larger group of people to learn and does not make the game too much longer or more difficult. I definitely recommend getting the Seafarers expansion and the 5-6 player extension if you have Catan.

Much needed expansion as we are a family of 5 . We have the catan base game and catan base expansion pack , plus seafarers base set and then we needed this expansion so 5-6 could play catan seafarers - still need all sets mentioned to play

This was advertised as an "expansion" but was only and "extension". You will not be able to play this game without the Catan Seafarers Expansion game. I will be returning this for a refund.
