Bottom line, Starfarers with more than 4 players is fun. It actually feels faster paced than 4 players. The additional "pilot" mechanics, which replace "special buy" phase from other Catan games, are more robust and work fairly well in the game format. Absolutely worth it if you have more than 4 players for this game.
