Catit 2.0 Senses Food Digger

The Catit Senses 2.0 Digger encourages cats to work for their food/treats in a fun and natural manner. As cats are true hunters, they need to be able to search and locate food in different locations around the house. The Senses 2.0 Digger incorporates this idea as part of the Senses 2.0 vision, with a smart design that activates your cat's natural pawing behavior during playtime. Hiding kibble or treats in the Digger's multiple tubes plays on a cat's instincts to sniff and paw out smaller portions of food, which stimulates activity and reduces binge eating. The Senses 2.0 Digger includes 3 short, narrow tubes, 2 long, wide tubes, a stable base and a rubber mat to lock the product in place. The tubes have rounded ends, making them easy to use and clean. To keep your cat interested, you need to change their toy set-up often. Catit Senses 2.0 is the only cat toy series that allows you to create new and exciting setups for your cat, quickly and easily! Each toy was designed to activate and stimulate your cat's unique senses, all in one fresh, green style to match any home interior, no matter the arrangement. The Senses 2.0 Digger is great individually or in combination with other Catit Senses 2.0 products.

Brilliant product

I bought one of these years ago for a friend's older cat, who refused to use it. However I bought another for my kittens recently, they picked it up right away and both love it. It slows down their eating, and turns what is usually a mindless activity into enrichment. Absolutely no downsides to this product.

Had this for a couple of weeks now. 2 of our 3 cats use it regularly, even when they have a bowl of food available. It has helped with the food gorging. We did start off by only putting a couple of treats in wtihout the cups, then switched over to cat food. The one cat (the one who over-eats) does like to roll the cups around on the floor so we also put some of his food into a cup, put it on the floor, and let him roll the cups around until the food comes out. The third cat isn't interested in it at all, but he isn't an overeater. I think if he were hungry, he would use it too.

Catit Senses 2.0 Cat Digger Cat Toy - keeping her

I purchased this because my adopted kitten tends to overeat, a lot. After being spayed, she really gained a lot of weight very quickly. With the Catit Senses 2.0 Cat Digger Toy, I find that her starting to eat less. I measure her food, according to the kibble feeding direction for her size and divvy it up between the tubes. Since everything is a game to her anyway, this is a natural way to slow down her eating. She still can eat as much as she wants, I measured before too, but now, since she has to “work” for her food, it gives her body time to catch up to her quick eating and she realizes she’s full. It’s only been a few days, but I can already see that it’s working and she’s actually having fun, playing with her food, while eating. I love this product!

Entry level puzzle!
18 November 2022

I got three different puzzles for my three cats, and this one appeared to be the easiest one for them to figure out (and they're not that clever). That's not to say they aced it right away... but this one is always empty first. Having to 'catch' their food gets them energized and running around the house afterwards, which is good for them, being indoor cats. I recommend this puzzle if you're not sure if your cat will respond to puzzles. It's simple enough for any cat to engage with if they're peckish.

Excellent food digger
12 September 2022

Great food digger - my 9 year old cat loves it. Each component can be removed for easy cleaning. Is great for cats that don't quite manage the trickier/elaborate food puzzles/mazes. Highly recommend.

Great for entertaining cats
5 October 2022

I have a young cat who is very intelligent, very energetic, and he needs some mental stimulation. This puzzle toy has become a favorite of his. He eagerly watches me drop food in the tubes and then sets to work digging them out. It has helped him to get out some of that energy and excitement in a positive way.

Great for lazy cats!
7 February 2023

One of my cat isn't food motivated enough for complicated puzzles or ones that hide the treats, but she loves dragging out her kibble from this one!My new kitten is food crazy and tends to empty this out pretty quickly, so I'd go for one a bit more complicated if your kitty is a desperate munchy one.

Perfect

I have five cats - three of which self-regulate when they eat. The other two however, well, let's just say one of them is nicknamed "Tub-o-Lard". The problem was, how to put the two fat boys on a diet without starving the other three who prefer to lightly graze throughout the day. Enter the Catit Food Tree, Digger, and Multi-Feeder! These products have been perfect! Food is available for all of them throughout the day, but the fat boys must now "work" a bit extra for it - slowing down their feeding and making them less like to eat just because they are bored. And that's another benefit - they now get added stimulation when they want to eat. It's a food and a toy! So, thinner, happier, and healthier cats have been the result. I am never moved to leave a review but this cat feeder has really helped my cats chill out about food.I have two large male cats. They were forced into "brotherhood" when my fiance and I started living together 5 years ago and they unfortunately never got over it.We moved into a smaller apartment a few years ago and their aggression towards each other went from simple dislike to utter hatred. They were forced into "brotherhood" when my fiance and I started living together 5 years ago and they unfortunately never got over it.We moved into a smaller apartment a few years ago and their aggression towards each other went from simple dislike to utter hatred. I tried a lot of things to keep them from fighting, like leaving out lots of dry food– which worked but they started competitively eating each others food, and I had to stop because my Tabby reach an unhealthy weight. I also tried buying lots of different cat toys, Feliway cat spray (didn't do a thing), I even started putting Softpaw claw caps on them to keep them from hurting each other, but nothing reduced their fighting.I finally gave up trying new things and decided it was better to let my Tabby be overweight than let their fighting continue. Defeated I went to Petco to buy a cat food dispenser (one of those that has a little jug and continuously refills the bowl) and as I looked around I found the Catit Senses 2.0 Digger. It looks totally strange–like tall, wide shot glasses sunk into a white tray, but it promised to "reduce binge eating," and it was dig enough to hold a days worth of food for two cats so I bought it.It took about 5 minutes for my cats to figure it out but after their initial frustration they were totally into it. And most importantly– it worked! I have been leaving a reasonable amount of food in the feeder everyday, they eat it slowly because they cant get more than a piece or two out at a time, and they have gone back to just disliking each other! They haven't had a fight since we got it and my cat hasn't put on much weight because he can't binge eat.Moral of this story is the Sense 2.0 Digger totally worked to keep my cats from over eating, and I am much happier (and the cats too) now that I can leave food out for them all the time without feeling guilty.

This really works!
28 March 2017

I bought this almost 1 year ago. My overweight cat (at 14+ pounds) was getting fatter and more immobile by the day. Now, she is lean and mean. At least 2 pounds lighter. Amazing dish. It totally works for an obese cat who needs to lose weight. If you have a multi-cat household it also works very well at getting rid of the 'competition' aspect.Be patient. For a few days my cat was reluctant and ate very little. Eventually, she got hungry enough to try out the new dish. She is a pro now at digging all the way to the bottom of even the smallest tube. This will solve the cat obesity crisis! Don't worry if your cat takes time to figure it out. Animals will not purposefully starve themselves.Have recommended this to my vet office to share with other pet owners.
