The main reason I finally bought this fountain, after looking at it for over a year, is because one of my cats got in the habit of only wanting to drink out of a tap. While cute, it's just not practical. As soon as I set this up, she was drinking out of it! No joke, it was on the ground for less than 10 seconds before she started drinking from it. It still took a while for her to give up her tap obsessed ways, but it is only very occasional now. Now, my other cat didn't fall in love instantly. She would creep up to it, then back away slowly. This lasted a few days, then curiosity got the better of her, she tried it, and now she loves it!So both cats love it and use it every day. It is easy to setup and easy to clean, and looks super cute. I love how the nose and whiskers light up so you can see how much water is inside, and they blink red when the water levels get too low. It is also super quiet. The only thing we ever hear is the trickling of the water going from the little dish of water at the top back inside the unit - and that is only when the water is running low and it has a distance to fall before hitting water. If it is topped up regularly, it is basically silent. The only downside is that because the fountain part sits quite far back, it is hard for my smaller cat to reach. She can't reach from the side either because of the shape of the plastic ears on the outside. She has to stand and stretch over the bowl to get to the running water. She still does it and is happy to use it, it doesn't seem to put her off it at all.

This fountain really is silent: the pump is suspended in the water from the top plate by a silicon tube which deadens any vibrations. You don't even get any water trickling noise when the fountain is relatively full - only once the level drops enough that the returning water has to fall further into the reservoir. The whiskers let you see the water level pretty easily (and are adorable). The light means you never worry about whether it's getting empty, and ensures your cat can find it easily in the dark (and you won't trip over it...). It holds a lot of water. It was really easy to put together and is easy to clean. No grooves for crud to get stuck in.It seems pretty stable, although my cat is not boisterous at all so this hasn't been put to the test thoroughly. ... It might be possible when it gets quite empty, but when full you'd have to push it really quite hard in the right spot to tip it at all, so I can't imagine many cats managing it.Finally - it did take a couple of weeks before I saw my cat using it myself, but I've never seen her drink so much in one go as when I finally caught her at it. So don't give up hope too quickly if yours doesn't seem that interested. If I had to give a criticism I guess it would be nice to have the option of turning the light off, in case you wanted to provide one in a bedroom or something - or perhaps just two models with and without the light feature to avoid introducing extra breakable parts that need cleaning.(Also, Pets at Home, why don't you stock the other colours?! This one is lovely though.)

I chose this based on the positive reviews and the style of drinking my cats do - they like the spouted water trickle.I bought this to replace an old Kmart cheapo pet water fountain after the filters became unavailable when they updated the styles. We tried both of their new styles but the nice looking one gave off a terrible hum and the cheaper one was still a bit buzzy with the pump. I also didn't like the bubbler style fountain - my cats prefer the water to trickle.I really love this product - very nice quality, it looks super cute and most importantly it is so quiet I can't hear it at all. I like the led light and that the little spout is optional so it's flexible for what your cat likes.I also like that the feet raise it up as we would often get water ... Hopefully will be available for a long time.

It looks great to human (even me) but the design and quality are questionable. 1) The spout is poorly designed, since young one of my two cats pounded it (well, gently). It fell off and I put it on (if luckily I could find it) several times until it got lost. 2) Second, the pump didn't last long, only after a few months. 3) The red light flashes stopped working when water ran low within that time frame and I kept checking it manually. 4) The cable is too short that the fountain stands on the floor against the cabinet wall and the nearest outlet is near the edge of wall just above counter, pretty short length. Despite that all, filters were changed regularly and along that cleaned. I'm looking into buying a different brand now.
I prefer this one to Catit's flower fountain, for sure. The stainless steel top is very nice, and easy to clean. The pump is much quieter than the flower fountain's pump, maybe because it's suspended in the water instead of resting on the bottom? Not sure! But it's great! Another thing I think is much better: the filters! They are much smaller and less plastic waste!I was very excited to find this stainless steel fountain available on Homes Alive Pet's website, it seemed to be sold out nearly everywhere! The shipping was quick, too. My cats took a little while to investigate and warm up to it, but they use it exclusively now, they won't even touch the extra bowls of water I place around the house for easy-access for them.I've had it only 3 weeks as of right now, ... This is our third cat fountain. The first was a cheap and cheerful KMart job- nice wide drinking bowl, so no whisker stress ( not that I knew about whisker stress back then), but the water got pretty manky, pretty fast. The second was an expensive stainless steel job from Amazon- narrow drinking bowl, so extreme whisker stress ( the cats hated it) and the water got manky in the blink of an eye. Worst cat fountain EVER.Enter the Catit Pixi stainless steel fountain - nice wide drinking bowl, so no whisker stress or a bubbler if your cat prefers, and best of all this thing is so cleverly and thoughtfully designed the water doesn't get manky. So if you're looking to buy your first cat fountain or have had no luck with others, give this one a go. I got this on sale for a great price with Pet Circle. It's fantastic, a huge upgrade from the Catit mini flower fountain. The water capacity is huge, I haven't actually seen the nose blinking red when the level is low because I like to clean my fountain at least once a week. My kitten enjoys drinking from this fountain, he likes drinking from both the spout and the pool at the bottom. It looks cute and is very quiet, I don't hear anything coming from it really, if anything it sounds similar to a quiet fish tank filter. Very happy with this, definitely worth upgrading to from the mini!
its silent, you can change how the water comes out, easy to clean, a little fiddly with the wire but can unplug the usb part of the cable and take to sink to clean. my cats drink so much more with this dont even use their water bowls now and my cat who keeps getting cystitis uses it too so think hes drinking more water now which is great as i never see him drink! its sturdy too one cat tries to pull it over all the time and it just moves along the carpet never overturns! glad i chose this one my last fountain they barely used and could hear the motor. plus this is a nice height for them. it also has a filter you can replace when its ran out
My cat is 18 yrs and was recently diagnosed with early kidney disease. She is constantly wanting to drink from a running tap. The Catit Pixi Fountain has resolved that issue for me. it has a good sized water reservoir and with the clear whisker decal on the front, I can easily see how much water she is drinking each day. This makes it easier to check that she is keeping hydrated. It is super quiet and has an option for a spout or just the water bubbling out into the bowl. I like that the bowl is sloped and has the splatter guard (cat ears) at the back as she tends to drink from the opposite side of the bowl. She also likes to play with the water bubbling out. I am very happy with this product.
